Tiny flat iron

This is my second Nano Babyliss. My first did not last very long and I spent twice as much on it from my salon. I'm hoping I get at least a year out of this one. I have very short hair and need just a bit of bend. This works perfectly. It is identical to the one that burned out. It arrived quickly!

I didn't think these existed until finally a student at the salon school i frequent borrowed one from a classmate. I had to go home and buy it. I love short hair but have issues with regular flat irons burning my fingers and ears. This is a great tool to have in your own styling cabinet. Heats up really fast and great for traveling too!

I bought this iron because it received good reviews on Amazon from others... Unfortunately it was a complete waste of $20. I have medium length hair which is semi-thick and straight. I only bought the iron to make my hair super straight and shiny. It took me over 40 minutes to straighten my hair because the iron is so small. It also repeatedly snagged on my hair and caused hair to be ripped out of my head! I will definitely go back to my Hot Tools straightener.

It's okay

I previously used the Chi Iron, and it stopped working so I needed something new. I chose this iron because I have very thin, loose curly hair and I wanted something I can set the temperature on because I felt that the Chi was destroying my hair with its single heat setting. I've had this babyliss for about one month now, and so far it has done a decent job. My only concern is that when I first started using it I burned my forehead a lot, because unlike the Chi it doesnt have protection on the sides incase you touch your skin with it and I get close when I straighten the front portion of my hair. And, it also feels a little bulky. But that's also probably because I am used to the the thin Chi Iron. I like the iron, because it gets the job done, and it heats up very fast. But, I don't think I would buy it a second time.

I have the thickest, waviest, fullest head of hair imaginable. It's long, past my shoulders being the shortest. I had a corioliss which I loved. It worked on my hair and it only took 60 minutes to get it stick straight with my chi shine spray. I cried when my corioliss broke.My hair dressers have used Chi and the Babyliss on my hair successfully so I knew my replacement would be among those two brands. Having read the reviews, I decided to try the babyliss which is way cheaper than my corioliss was. Omgosh, I was just stunned. It was quick and easy. But I had to try at least one more time and make sure. Nope, it was amazing. Took me 35 minutes rather than the 60 minutes. My hair was shiny and rich in color. I was literally running thru my hair and it came out just as amazing.I will say this machine gets hot as blazes and I do need to use the highest heat setting. My hair is thick enough to stick into your fingertips. I have a callous on my thumb from using it. I am not adept enough to use the comb very much like hair dressers do.The construction of this is heavy duty. Metal everywhere. It's a beautiful piece. Substantial. Well worth it.I think for my daughter I'll need the wider plates since her hair is super long and super spirally curly.

Not Recommended for Tightly Coiled Hair

This item is alright. It gets the job done by straightening the roots of hair. However, I think it works best on people with relaxed or texturized hair, not recommended for curly kinky hair. The thin teeth in the comb attachments would cause a lot of pain to the person using it. I also think you can't use this item alone. A flat iron would have to finish the job of styling your hair. Yet, it can really get your hair line smooth without burning your skin, great for pinned up hair styles. Lastly, a DVD came with the product. It was so badly scratched I could not watch it. So, I watched it on YouTube, it just explained how use the item. I thought maybe the DVD had better instructions than the printed instructions inside the box. It didn't, its the same.

The Best For Your Roots

I bought this for myself and my grand daughter. Neither one of us have perms but this little machine gets right to the kitchen of the back of neck and all over. The trick to it is to be patient. Do not pull or snatch through your hair. Let it work through with tender pulls and you will not be disappointed. Oh, and the price was okay also.

Great for in between relaxers

My stylist uses this tool and I love it so I had to get one for myself personally. This iron is great for straightening the roots in between relaxers. Some of the other reviews here state that the iron pulls out your hair, but it only pulls out your hair if you are using it the wrong way. Even though the iron has comb like ends you SHOULD NOT try to use it like a comb and comb it through the hair. Instead you should just tug on the roots and not comb it all the way through. Also I don't recommend you use this everyday (or any iron everyday) because too much heat will break the hair and it's worse to have your hair broken so close to the roots than at the tips or the ends. Either ways, this is great product when used properly and in moderation. I would definitely recommend it!

I purchased this straightener to straighten/press down my new growth, but all it did was break my hair off. The teeth were too small for the job and constantly snagged. At first I thought things were working great as it did smooth down, but then I discovered that over time, all this comb was really doing was pulling out my hair. The front and sides of my hair is now terribly short and it's going to take a while to grow back. I understand the results may be different for everyone, but this was terrible for me. I'd never buy again or recommend to someone else.

I wasn't sure from the photos how big the set would be, it's actually pretty small which is great if you're short on space like I am. They curlers themselves work well- the flocking is a huge plus. I wish they'd put in a bag or something for the plastic clips though, they come on cardboard strips & it's annoying to have to arrange them 'just so' after each use. Overall I am pleased with them, I have chin-length natural curls & they give a nice smoothness & bounce to my mop.

I've been using Babyliss products for a while - I have very thick and coarse hair - about shoulder length and this really straightens my hair quickly and well (partially because of the higher temps). BOTTOM LINE: I recommend it!

Good for short hairs, like bangs. No temperature controls, so you have to work fast or it tends to fry your hair, but it's good if you want straight bangs and you're in a hurry.

I love this little flat iron. I've been using it for a couple months now without a problem. It has only an On/Off button...no other settings. It heats in less than a minute to an extremely hot temperature. You have to be careful with this, just like with any other flat iron. It straightens my mildly wavy hair perfectly. If you have long hair or hair with a lot of wave or curl, I would recommend a wider and longer flat iron. This one is 1/2-inch wide and not very long. It's perfect for travel...doesn't take up much space in the suitcase. If you are considering this model, I highly recommend it. I use it mainly to smooth the fly-aways and the grays that have a mind of their own. It makes my hair appear more soft and smooth.

I have purchased the Baybliss Pro Nano Titanium Ceramic Ionic Iron 1" and the Iron pulls my hair. Don't get me wrong, but the Iron does straighten the hair silky smooth, but be very careful on how you place your hair in between the plates. My hair is natural and this iron will catch my hair on the open end where you place the hair into the iron and pull to straighten.I find that the tip catches the hair and when you pull to straighten your hair may get caught in between the blades of the plates causing you to pull and tear your hair out. I must take my time when closing the Iron making sure that no hair is misplaced in the wrong area of the plate while straighten my hair. BE CAREFUL!

I have been using a Sedu for a few years now and it wasnt bad. I started reading all the great reviews for this so I took the plunge. I am glad I did. This thing rocks. It straightens my hair much faster than the Sedu. Also, it makes my hair straighter than the sedu ever did. I use the hottest settings, because I have thick, coarse middle eastern hair, but for non ethnic hair, i dont think the hottest setting should be used. it also doesnt pull my hair. when i used the sedu, there would always be some strands of hair in the sink, not with this one. great flat iron!

I was in the market for a high quality 1 inch flatiron. I purchased this product over the Chi because of the bad reviews the Chi irons seemed to have. This really is a terrific product.I have been using this product for over a year. I did not initially write a review because I had to overcome a learning curve. I was used to using curling irons as well as the curved "flat" iron. I had to practice with this flatiron to be able to achieve the results I was expecting. FYI--Do you want to add height/volume to your do or achieve curls?? It's all in the wrist. I start at the root, pulling upwards toward the center of my head and flip my wrist to achieve a curl or added height/volume.I have grown to really appreciate this flatiron. It is very kind to my fine, slick hair. My only complaint is that it does not come with a kill switch if it overheats when left plugged in on an ON position for an extended amount of time. I have not had a problem with this, but I have read other reviews where they have burned out their iron and voided their warranty. If it were not for this one shortcoming, I would rate it higher.

I really love this flat iron. I used it for the first time this week and I straigthen my hair in no time. I have really thick coarse hair and have not had a perm since January. My hair is really straight and is still shining 2 days later. I was very pleased with my hair as it looked as I had went to the hairdresser. My roots are really straight since the iron allows you to get very close. I also purchased the 1/2 iron to get the short pieces of hair. I highly recommend this flat iron, over the CHI and FHI,especially for African Americans if you want straight hair and is trying to go permless. Oh, I forgot to mention the iron is very lite.

I was in desperate need of a new straightener when my Conair iron was on its last leg. This is the same iron that my hairstylist uses in her salon and offered to sell me for $150! Glad I found a deal through Amazon. The iron is so smooth and VERY hot. I am only able to use it on one of the lowest heat settings for my fine blonde hair, or I risk burning myself. Love! Love! Love! Buy! Buy! Buy! I've struggled for years with frizzy hair and have tried just about every product and appliance. Finally, something that works! I wondered how my new hair dresser was able to get my hair so straight and asked what she was using. Bought this a couple of weeks ago when I had naturally curly hair half way down my back. Used it once, worked great. Cut my hair off the following day, tired of curls. Have a short wedge style now and have to flat iron my hair daily. Love this thing. Gets super stinkin' hot. Burnt myself twice the first 2 times I used it :)And it hasn't dried my hair out yet. I got this haridryer as a replacement for my t3 Evolution ($300 and overheated constantly). My hairdresser had a Babyliss one, and I wasn't ready to spend that much money on a hairdryer again, so after some research I chose this one. I love it. It is lightweight, powerful, and makes my hair shiny and easy to style. I would definitely recommend as it is also very affordable. Drugstore hairdryers just won't do the job. This dries thick hair in half the time.

A Good buy

The dryer definitely delivers as promised. There is a HUGE difference in the shininess and silkiness of my hair after using it compared to a standard drug store dryer. In fact, it looks just like after a visit to the Salon. It's not too heavy which is good too. The bling factor is just sort of silly to me and was not a factor in my purchase. The negative- the placement of the buttons was not great engineering. It is really easy to accidentally change settings or turn it off mid blow dry. Overall, a very good buy though. $50 for a salon result full size ionic dryer. Good deal!

I'm in love! I had a hai hairdryer...that went out. Just received this one...THANK GOODNESS! It dried my hair ultra fast...I had the best hair day ever...like as if I went to the salon to get it done. I do have to get used to the button placement just because it's different from my last dryer, but love the 6 settings...and the long cord!

My Chi finally blew up so I needed to replace it, and with the price on this 1900 watt positively ionic dryer, I had to give it a try. It's not as heavy duty as my Chi was, but this is a fine dryer for the price. It is not as quiet, and the cord is not as tough, but the unit is lighter in weight and the cord is just as long. It dries my hair quickly (and that's something to say, as my hair takes "forever" to dry) and the "hot" setting is truly HOT and is great for styling. The edge of the filter has little rhinestones on it, and it comes with a small rhinestone coated keychain in the shape of a hair dryer. While this bling is cute, and probably sells dryers as an impulse buy, but I'm more practical and would rather have saved the extra money that was put into these little blings, but that's just me. Not a bad dryer--not a professional Chi, but still a nice dryer. Worth the 49 dollars for sure.

If you want to get rid of the frizz -- get this dryer!

I purchased this hair dryer about a month ago and I couldn't be happier with it! The first time I used it my hair was much softer and more manageable. I have naturally curly hair and that's no simple accomplishment. The only thing I'd change is the location of the switches. Several times I've accidentally turned it off when drying my hair. Otherwise, it's perfect.
