The blueing agent was good and did the job. I don't think this shampoo has the lathering ability I like to have and my hair didn't feel as clean as I wanted it to feel. There is a smell to this product that I don't care for.

It is indeed watery so I put it in a little spray bottle and spray it on my hair in the shower. I believe of all the shampoos for gray/white hair this is the best. I don't use it all the time, just for special occasions. So what I bought in summer of 2008 is still around.

It's not a very good value

Does it "whiten" hair? Not really. What it does is remove the yellow and adds some silver highlights. It has the consistency of water.............so the first time you use it you will probably spill some of it.................and at more than $3 per oz............Are there any products that do as good a job? Sure. Pantene Silver Expressions works just as well and is available for $4.99 at Walgreens for 13 oz.Phyto works OK. But it is a ripoff for the money.

I just used this shampoo and conditioner and my hair is BLUE!!! I am mortified!! I will call my hairdresser in the morning. Just tried to shampoo it out with another regular shampoo but it is STILL BLUE. Be extremely careful because this stuff dyes your hair blue.. Yikes!!

Great for removing yellow and brassiness

I recently bleached my hair from light brown/dark blonde to white. Since I had colored my hair before, there was a little yellow leftover. I heard good reviews about this, so I decided to try it out. I am SO glad I did. It has already gotten rid of almost all the yellow in only 4 washes. I also use the conditioner of the same type and it keeps my hair soft, too. I would suggest you don't use this shampoo every day. It can turn hair purple if you use it too often. A couple times a week should be plenty, or only use it when you notice some yellowing or brassiness. It can be hard to find in stores, so try buying it here or at Sally's Beauty Supply. It doesn't have a floral or fruity scent. The smell reminds my of grandmothers - maybe my grandmother has used a similar product for her beautiful silver hair. It does have a clean, crisp scent. It is BRIGHT purple, though. You really only need a little bit. I would suggest this to anyone with a yeallowing or brassiness problem. If you are considering it, try it!

I had noticed that my highlights had started to take on a brassiness, so I asked my hairdresser what we could do about it, and she recommended this shampoo. It worked really well! I used it once or twice a week and it kept my highlights looking the way they should and got rid of the brassiness. It didn't stain my hands, but it did leave a slight tint around my cuticles. If you rinse it out all the way it won't harm your towels, and make sure you rinse it from the sides of your shower while you let it set for a minute, or it will leave a lavender streak. She told me not to use it too much because it can give your hair a purplish cast, so I didn't-and I was very pleased with the results!

I have been using this shampoo for a while now and love it. I tend to have oily hair and shampoo my hair everyday. This is a great product for blondes. I was having blonde highlights put in my hair but now I am just naturally dark blonde and still use this shampoo...that is how much I like it. This was a great deal on this shampoo! Smells great!

Not all that great

I should have gone for the sulfate-free bottle, but this one seemed like a better $ value. Anyway, it makes my scalp itch after a couple of days. I wasn't sure it was the shampoo, so I switched to a tea tree shampoo for a week, and no itchy scalp. So it was definitely this Dumb Blonde shampoo. Well, that's what I get for being cheap.

This is my regular shampoo and I get sent to me automatically. I live it a small town and the only way to get it here is a beauty salon or supply place. I color my hair and I like this shampoo the best for keeping it looking healthy and natural. This is a good price considering you get 2 large bottles and they last quite awhile.

The hair powder is my personal life savor. Works for those days when you just aren't feeling like washing your hair. Don't use to much or your hair will feel starchy. Just a couple dabs on your hair brush. Also great for the "morning after" a long night at the bar...smells wonderful, masks greasy roots. Extend your washes! Have healthier hair! reccommend to all my GF's, (I am told it works great on posion ivy too, it has chemicals that dry it out)

I've tried many powders and spray looking for a solution to my oily hair. I don't want to have to wash my hair every day, so I need to use a dry shampoo type of product. I tried the Finely powder after reading several reviews. To my disappointment the powder was awful. It felt disgusting in my hand and even worse in my hair. It almost felt silicone-like. It truly felt disgusting in my hair. I guess it helped absorb some of the oil in my hair, but so does baby powder. The color didn't do anything different from baby powder either. I would love to return the item, but I immediately threw out the packaging once I received it because I was so sure it would be my answer because of all the reviews I had read. Bottom line: expensive, super small bottle, bad product. Flat out unfortunate. (I have found that Batiste dry shampoo spray works the best out of all the sprays out there. Fair price too. Otherwise, Shower-to-Shower powder works well- better than regular baby powder).

I love Redken's Blonde Glam products. Gentle enough to use daily on highlighted hair, and actually brings out the paler blonde highlights. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because my hair is pretty long and the conditioner by itself doesn't keep my hair as soft and silky as I would like. So I apply pantene smooth conditioner on top of the Blonde Glam conditioner, brush it all through, and wait a few minutes before rinsing. If I skip the Blonde Glam conditioner and just use the pantene, my highlights are dull and dark.

I love this stuff. I would somewhat agree with the other review that the product is dying, but I have oily hair so this works to my advantage. My hair feels very clean afterwards and it leaves my hair with great texture so teasing is a breeze.

had ups and downs

i recently highlighted my hair professionally and wanted a product to accentuate my highlights. it did the trick..but unfortunately it was very drying to my hair. it was very hard to run a comb through my hair in the shower while the conditioner was in my hair, which i normally never have a problem doing. i would not recommend this product if you highlight or lighten your hair, because it has the potential to be a little dry already and the conditioner would not nourish hair.
