The BEST hairdryer ever!

For the last couple of months I have researched and read reviews of every hair dryer imaginable on every website imaginable and finally settled on this hair dryer. And I couldn't be happier!!! My hair is:1). Straight 2). Smooth 3). NOT Frizzy 4). Shiny 5). Volumous 6). Looks like I just got a blow out at a salonLet me start at the beginning. My hair is shoulder length, somewhere between curly and wavy, tends to be dry and frizzes very easily. I am typically a slave to the flat iron, but no more. Here is what I did, step by step to achieve my best hair day ever (that I have done myself- no salon styling included).1). I washed and conditioned my hair, as usual 2). After towel drying my hair, I used a wide tooth comb to smooth it out and put a dollop of leave in conditioner on the ends. I then let my hair air dry for about 10 minutes while I putzed around the house. 3). I sectioned my hair and clipped up any hair I was not blow drying at the time. 4). On each section I was drying I put a tiny dot of straightening cream and worked it through my hair. 5). Using a 1.25" round natural bristle brush, I blew each section dry with a downward motion of the brush and dryer. As I was done with each section, I clipped it away and worked with one section at a time. It got a little awkward in the back, but I figured I would touch up with the flat iron at the end. 6). There was no need for touching up! My hair came out great. I used a dollop of shine wax when I was done drying and shaped my hair. I finished with a spritz of hair spray.Even if this hair dryer broke after one use, I would shell out the cash to get another one. It is that worth it. I did not have any problems with the buttons that some people said and I did not think it was too heavy to work with either. What can I say? I love this hair dryer and I would give it 10 stars!

Fast drying powerful hair dryer. I brought my daughter this dryer about 6-7 years ago and paid over $100. She dropped on the floor several time and put in the check in bag when she flew. It finally quite working and I had to purchase one for her two months ago.

I was happy to buy another Elchim dryer. My first one died after about five years of using it regularly. I used my T2000 as a spare until I found a good deal on a new Elchim. Elchim is far better than the T2000. I have mid to long blond (colored) hair and it dries my colored hair quickly and smoothly. My hair color covers gray hair which is wirey and dry. This dryer gives me the look I want for my hair -- long and smooth. Amazon had the best price on it. The price was comparable to what my stylist would have paid at a beauty supply store.

Despite the hype on this product, do not expect less frizz-- it is not one of those specifically ionic ones. My sister who has used this product and some cheap ionic one, said that she had better results with other blow-dryers. Ionic blow-dryers give my thick hair a smoother, healthier result, but this blow-dryer does no wonders.Blow-drying time is also not very short (I have long, semi-thick hair and it takes FOREVER to blow-dry... air dry only takes slightly more than double the blow dry time. Can you blame me for not liking to use this blow-dryer?). I like the cool setting, but other than that, nothing cool. I can't believe I invested into this blow-dryer!On the other hand, it seems to be reliable and may last a while.... but all of my cheaper blow-dryers did last a while also (in fact, I still have them but I wanted an upgrade).I like the separate vent cleaner. No more clogged vents! That feature and the easy to use cool feature make this product better than my previous cheap one. I feel that this was a poor investment.I have no idea how the other reviewers got great results, but my great results came with great products.

This product was not worth the money. I still have half a bottle of the shampoo left. As far as color fade goes, my stylist asked me why my gold looked so brassy this time around. I tried a sample of the Intense Repair masque. I will try that with the matching shampoo next time.

This conditioner is wonderful for my ash blonde colored hair. My first purchase was at my salon, where they highly recommended it. My ends typically split and break off, and this definitely makes them soft, shiny and last a long time before any, IF any breakage takes place. Highly recommend for colored hair.

Yes it is loud, but if you adjust the screw on the right side, you can get rid of the noise. Use a phillips head screwdriver to tighten it, and when it gets too loud, unscrew it a little bit. With a little tweaking you can have it running fine.

Although I have owned a couple of Wahl beard and side burn trimmers in the past, this is the first time I have owned a hair clipper from them or any other clipper for that matter. Before making this purchase, I have made careful and thorough research because there are a lot of other trimmers out there to choose from. And for a someone who has not owned a hair clipper before, making an informed decision based on customer reviews seems to be the most concrete way of deciding this purchase. After weighing the pros and cons of the reviews, I finally made up my mind and bought one. And I tell you it has been one of the better purchases I made in my entire life! Going to the barber and spending $13 plus tips almost every month is no easy task for your pocket. And in these tough economic times, anything you can do to make life easier financially should be done. Nowadays, saving money is one of the top priorities for the normal consumer with endearing objectives. Haircuts shouldn't be any different. The money you save from having one every month can go to other endeavors that needs streamlining.I like the way this clipper is set up: the guide-combs are color-coded, with an instant glance and no fumbling, you can choose your selection. The clipper is contour-designed to fit your hand, thus avoiding awkward positions when making a sweeping action on cutting. Some customers complained about the noise and vibration, I found it quite bearable. In fact the ones that my barber uses are much more noisy and the vibration much greater. I wish I would have read the other reviews of this product before I purchased it at Walgreens. After reading the reviews I decided to see for myself how loud the trimmer is and how poor of performance it has; let me tell you that everything every negative reviewer has said here is true.This trimmer is LOUD.This trimmer sucks at trimming hair. I have a buzz cut so it's not as though it is that difficult to get through. However, I had to stop trimming my hair several times because the blade kept getting stuck in the guard just from barely pushing the trimmer through.I'm now looking at some Oster trimmers. My last Wahl trimmer was wonderful but I couldn't find it again in the store.

Good for about a year, so go for something a little better.

I've been through three of these things in the last 3-4 years, and you'd think I would've learned my lesson after the second clipper died. I think it's the price that gets me, but next time, I'll definitely be spending a little extra for a better shaver. But as it is, this one gets the job done fairly well (until it suddenly stops working after a year). To tell you the truth, I only used the color coded attachments a few times to see how they were, since I shave my head with none of them on and have no need for them since I don't want hair. The attachments broke with an average amount of pressure. If you have thin hair, this shouldn't be a problem, but for people like me with thick, coarse hair, of course you'll be needing to use pressure to get through it. Oddly, there'd be some long hairs in sections that I shaved with these things on, like it somehow missed them. I see that other people experienced the same problem as well.Since I shave my head without any attachments so the hair is as short as possible, I use the clippers on their own. It actually takes a while to completely shave my head- about 10-15 minutes, which seems pretty long for hair that never goes more than 10 days without being shaved. I usually have to press down pretty hard to make sure it gets the hairs, shaving up and down, and even sideways sometimes. This thing gets hot after a few minutes, so if you buy it, be sure to give it a rest after about 6 minutes of continuous use. And use the brush and oil that come with it to clean it properly, because this thing gets hairs in every possible area. I also don't like how short the cord is, but that'll only matter for people who have electric outlets in odd places.As for these things dying, yeah, despite me taking good care of these, they all die after about a year. I'll flick the power on, and the clippers move/buzz very slowly. I'll let it go for a few minutes to see if it just needs to warm up, and then instead of going back to regular speed, it flat-out dies. Any time I contact Wahl about their warranty, I never get a response.For cheap clippers, these are nice, though again, I can't speak much for the color coded attachments since I don't like having hair. But I highly recommend for something a little more expensive, and with more solid reviews. Face it, it's annoying to buy something like this once a year.

Pretty good deal

The comments about them being extremely loud are true. I often have to pinch the sides of the clippers (not sure why) to get them back to normal operation. Again, I don't know what causes it or why that helps, but it does. When not in "high gear," though, the clippers work just fine. The color coding is nice, but some of the colors do not really match the color code on the clippers. The general color is there, but most are darker or lighter or a slightly different hue than the color code. That was frustrating at first, but now I've pretty much memorized which colors I use where and do not pay attention to the color code anymore.

I dyed my hair for the first time, from blonde to chocolate brown. I love it, but it's semi-permanent and can fade.This shampoo works wonders for keeping it shiny, no frizzes, and soft to the touch, plus my color is holding up really well!I have strange hair, so I admit this may not work for everyone. I have very thin shafts of hair, but tons of it. It's naturally wavy, but if it's longer than 6" it becomes straight. I have a very oily scalp, but am prone to frizziness.Despite my shizo hair, this shampoo when used daily for me, helps keep my hair in great shape. No one thinks I've done any serious chemical treatments to it!Paired with the conditioner from this line, I have to say this is hands-down the best shampoo for dyed hair.

Best shampoo for color-treated hair on the market!

I have tried other shampoos for color-treated hair, only to have them shorten the life of the color. Redken does not do that; like the other reviewer said, it really lengthens the time between salon visits for color. It keeps the color better than any product out there, and the cost is worth it because it does last so long. My hair is naturally curly and coarse, and the conditioner smooths the rough spots; it is also red, which I have always been told that red hair keeps color the shortest length of time. That's why I use this shampoo.

I've used Redken products for the past twenty years -- first geared for my dry, coarse curly hair and for the past few years, the Color Extend products to lengthen the time between salon colorings. I've never used any other shampoo or conditioner for color treated hair, so I can't speak to a comparison. What I do know is that for my "not too gray yet" hair, the shampoo lets me get away with a salon coloring visit every four to six months or so. Even though the Redken product is expensive, it is less expensive in the long run than visiting the salon every month.

I just used this shampoo and conditioner and my hair is BLUE!!! I am mortified!! I will call my hairdresser in the morning. Just tried to shampoo it out with another regular shampoo but it is STILL BLUE. Be extremely careful because this stuff dyes your hair blue.. Yikes!!

Great for removing yellow and brassiness

I recently bleached my hair from light brown/dark blonde to white. Since I had colored my hair before, there was a little yellow leftover. I heard good reviews about this, so I decided to try it out. I am SO glad I did. It has already gotten rid of almost all the yellow in only 4 washes. I also use the conditioner of the same type and it keeps my hair soft, too. I would suggest you don't use this shampoo every day. It can turn hair purple if you use it too often. A couple times a week should be plenty, or only use it when you notice some yellowing or brassiness. It can be hard to find in stores, so try buying it here or at Sally's Beauty Supply. It doesn't have a floral or fruity scent. The smell reminds my of grandmothers - maybe my grandmother has used a similar product for her beautiful silver hair. It does have a clean, crisp scent. It is BRIGHT purple, though. You really only need a little bit. I would suggest this to anyone with a yeallowing or brassiness problem. If you are considering it, try it!

I had noticed that my highlights had started to take on a brassiness, so I asked my hairdresser what we could do about it, and she recommended this shampoo. It worked really well! I used it once or twice a week and it kept my highlights looking the way they should and got rid of the brassiness. It didn't stain my hands, but it did leave a slight tint around my cuticles. If you rinse it out all the way it won't harm your towels, and make sure you rinse it from the sides of your shower while you let it set for a minute, or it will leave a lavender streak. She told me not to use it too much because it can give your hair a purplish cast, so I didn't-and I was very pleased with the results!

A few months ago I bleached my dyed black hair to white and turned it all to mush. When I was sick of the white I tried to dye it back with a box dye and while my roots accepted the dye, the parts of my hair that had been so severely damaged by the bleach did not. So I had red roots and light pink hair. Not good. So after a lot of research I began dying my hair with henna (natural not compound) which worked beautifully. However it takes a really long time, 24 hours prep and 8 hours on my hair. So after a few months I decided to try boxed color again. This time I bought preference Lightest Auburn and not only did it turn out exactly like the color on the box, but it even dyed the damaged part and my gray hairs. It also blended in with the existing henna hair color beautifully. I love this product!

I love this color (9G) Light Golden Blonde. It looks like I have natural sun kissed blonde hair, which is what I have always had until I got older and had my son. Now I'm back to this beautiful color, thanks to L'Oreal. And I also get so many compliments on my beautiful hair. Love It!

Terrible hair dye!

The color did not even come close to the color in the box. I will never waste my money on this product again. It just does'nt work I am very dissapointed.
