I ordered this wig for my mother. It's a very cute wig you can style it however you like and it fits lovely on her small head. We were messing around with it a little and it had this wavy feather curls look. Really impressed it looks really natural on her. Love it!

Natural conditioner option for color treated hair. This is impossible to find. My hair needs to have Color Treated products. This is the only product I've found that does not have laurel/laureth sulphates or parabens in it. It makes my hair really slick so I have to use it between washes or my hair will be unmanageable.

Poorly sifted powder (twigs + chunks) and has gone stale.

I have used many hennas, but this brand is handily the worst I've used. If you're unhappy with this stuff, DON'T BLAME HENNA, blame this manufacturer. Then order some Body Art Quality henna and try again -- you'll be much much much happier, I promise! "BAQ" henna is the stuff used on Indian and Mid-eastern brides for intricate skin painting, so it's super-finely sifted and has the best dye content available. Plus, it's less expensive than this junk!!1. The makers didn't sift out all the small twigs and chunks of the ground leaves, so it feels gritty. makes extra mess and difficulty in the application, and takes FOREVER to wash out. (My body-art-quality henna takes 1 shampoo, this stuff takes 4-5).2. There is no "use-by" or "packaged-when" date, so you are very likely getting old stale henna. This would explain the pitiful dye release I've experienced with 2 boxes of this stuff.3. Colors that contain any Indigo (anything darker than their copper color) are even harder to apply and rinse out. Their indigo supply is even shoddier than their henna!4. The mixing instructions don't allow enough time for this low-quality henna to begin releasing dye. This is OK if you are using JUST henna or henna/cassia (straberry colored) and you leave the paste on for 2-5 hours, but if there is any indigo in your box, it makes the box worthless. Mixed with hot water, this henna needs 40-60 minutes to release ample color in the paste, and by then the indigo is nearly dead. (Indigo needs to be applied within an hour or its dye "dies").5. The gloves are complete poo and the price is way too high for the quality.

So worth the effort

This product has made me love my hair! True enough, it is not quick or particularly easy, but like most things in life you get what you're willing to put in. I have fine, curly hair that has never responded well to salon hair color. After 2-3 applications my hair would begin to thin and the color would turn brassy. I've been using this product for 2 years and the condition of my hair has only improved. I have a fair amount of gray, which turns an auburn shade and looks like highlights. If you'd prefer a natural dye over chemical and you're willing to put in the time (2-3 hours) this is a wonderful product. I would spend twice the time and 25 times the price for these results.

Love Natural Hair Dye

This henna gives my hair a great red color. It is long lasting and strong but not bright or too red. It feels so good to use natural dyes. However it is a bit tricky getting used to using heat to set the color and it doesn't lighten hair, it only colors my original dark blond to red. I have taken to using lemons to lighten my hair in order to achieve the same color as I used to get from a box.

No cancer hair color

I've used Light Mountain Natural chestnut twice now and have been thrilled with the results. Beautiful color with no dangerous chemicals. Have a friend with rare blood cancer and found out it can be attributed to artificial hair color. Women need to learn the danger they are being exposed to with hair dyes. Am hooked now for life.

I have been using Light Mountain Henna for years. It is messy, and can be a hassle to use, but the results on my hair are unbelievably great. I have very thick, coarse, dry hair and my hair soaks up the color like a sponge. It does not fade at all on me, and the conditioning effect lasts about 6 weeks on my hair. I boil filtered water, add 2 tea bags, steep the tea- take the bags out, then add the henna powder. I eyeball it, adding just enough powder to make a runny mud-like consistency- stir it up until all the dry powder is gone- then gloop it on to my dry hair. I wrap plastic around my hair, then let it soak in for a couple of hours. Then, I shower, wash with shampoo twice, and condition afterward. Lovely!! I couldn't live without my henna.

I wish I could upload a still photograph (I don't do videos) to show everyone just how much I love this product. I was wary about buying a wig online, particularly through Amazon, because of all the bad reviews customers have given other Amazon sellers. I am happy to report that (for me at least) Hair Stop and Shop delivered EARLY, the color was exactly as advertised, it looked more or less like the photo when I placed it on a wig headstand, it didn't appear to have been worn before by someone else and then sent to me dirty/ragged, I am very happy with it.As for how it looked on me, that's completely subjective. We are not all models and most of the models used to model these wigs don't look anything like the end user. When I first put it on, I was a little disappointed because I got 'someone's mother' and 'black lunch lady' vibes from it. You know what, though? That said more about me and where I was mentally, and not about how I actually looked in it. What I saw in the mirror and what other people saw were a 180 degrees on the disappointed/happy scale -- and I only found that out when pictures were taken. Guess what? I love this wig now, and I don't care about the 'someone's mom' vibe; I'm not 19 anymore, but I look damn good in this wig :)I would definitely buy from Hair Stop and Shop again. I can't wait to pull up their other products, and buy other styles from them. For the price, this is an exceptional value.
