Such products are very much effective for thick haired persons and for overcoming weather related factors, while using such products use silicone serum as well.

Carefully select your hair dryer and it would be better that whenever you use a hair dryer, use the one that is of 1875 watts. Flat irons are also great products for hair straightening especially the one with ceramic plates. Curling iron can also prove out to be useful and fulfill the purpose of straightening if they emit high heat. Always use a round bristled brush while straightening your hair with flat irons and curling irons. Whenever you are straightening always make small sections of hair and go over each section as many times as possible. 

If you really want to have permanent straightening then opt for thermal hair straightening, if expense is not a problem for you. Though this process may require 8 to 9 hours at saloon and may cost you in between $400 to $1000 but in the end you will get rid of curls for at least 7 to 8 months.
