The most common myth about professional beauty products

As a stylist, I was constantly shot in the foot on retail sales. But not really I can bear to see good people spend hard earned money on products that do not need or can afford less and achieve the same results. Many think I'm crazy to tell people, but selling my services are the ones paying the bills, not selling products at retail. My honesty has gained me hundreds of repeat customers through the years and I had more than a customer comes once a month for a trim or color than every other month to buy a bottle of shampoo. You get the drift.

When it is shampoo, conditioner and styling products just because it is a living does not make it better than the products can be purchased at a discount store retail. The shampoo is a detergent no matter how you package it. Conditioner is just what it says and the same goes for styling products. The only difference is that products of living are more concentrated and last longer. In the end, the costs actually understand to be the same for the regular classroom and retail products. So my advice is to use whatever works best for you and the products you want.

There is an area I have to say that salon products are better and that is the color. The reason I say that is, professional products are formulated under strict guidelines of the industry to ensure that salon professionals achieve results the same color every time. Colors are available over the counter are not regulated and may indeed vary from bottle to bottle. How many times have you bought the home and found the same color a different result almost every time

If you have professional hair color and would like to do at home, you might consider talking to your stylist about it. They could be willing to send home with color and specific instructions on how to use it. I've done this for many of my clients and do not really care. I prefer my clients have what they are used to and be satisfied with the result that have to buy a product from the shelf and call me the next day, saying they have orange pale pink hair.

Use your best judgments about their hair products and use what you like and what works best for you.
