Solid but not perfect. I don't write about very fundamental functions of a hair dryer.Pros : 1. A selection button for warm and hot. I have never seen this selection on hair dryers I experienced before, but wanted all the time. I thought hot wind is too hot for summer but I don't have enough time to dry my hair with cool wind in the morning.2. The solid power plug I know there are no reset and test button on power plugs of many hair dryers even though it's an electronic heating equipment, but it does.Cons 1. Unfoldable handle Although it's not for portable or travel use, it could be produced with a folding handle like many other non-portable hair dryers.

If you blow-dry your hair several days a week, I highly suggest getting something nicer than this. I find that this model promotes hair breakage, the plastic accessories come off easily, and the ionic feature doesn't seem to work like it's supposed to. This item recently died on me, and I was actually glad, because now I don't have to feel bad about throwing it away.

I bought this dryer after getting sick of having to share my old one with 5 other family members. It's neither great nor horrible. It does what it is designed to do - dry hair. That's about where the positives end. The dryer is very heavy and it takes a good seven minutes or so to dry my baby fine, shoulder length hair. The buttons on the dryer are in an awkward place and I'm forever accidentally bumping them and switching the settings or accidentally turning it off, mid-dry. I did not notice any difference in my hair using this dryer with its purported ion technology. The thing that annoys me the most about this dryer is the cord. It's nowhere near long enough for my liking. It's so short that I barely have enough length to dry my hair without sitting down - and I'm 5'3"! Bottom line: If you need "just" a hairdryer for a short amount of time and don't care that it's heavy/slow/has a short cord - then this is the dryer for you.

Good, strong wax

I used this on my husband's back, and while yes, it hurt (HELLO, you're pulling the hair from the roots, of course it hurts!) it did a great job at getting all of the hair. It didn't leave much of anything behind and I never had to redo any spots. I did my husband's entire back and went through an entire thing of wax (although we had tons of strips leftover), just so you can judge how much you might need. Oh, and it smells good, too!

Not Worth the Pain

This drier has been working great for me for the last few months and I'm pretty sure I am using it harder than most. I have it out at the barn with my horse and use it it dry him off after a workout and a bath. This means that while it is only working on short hair, it has a lot of surface area to cover and it holds up the whole time. Only bad thing I have to say is that the less than ideal environment with lots of dirt has caused me to see a fleck of rust or two on the front grill, but they don't seem to be spreading and they haven't given me any trouble.

Bought this hair dryer several weeks ago to replace a Conair that had finally died. All I can say is this dryer has worked perfectly every time and drys my hair after showers with no problem and pretty fast. There was one time when after extended running it overheated and shut off on me. I simply let it cool down for 10 minutes and hit the reset button and it was back to normal. Very happy with the purchase and would buy it again. I should add that I do not expect any hair dryer to be silent and did not find the noise abnormal

This is the first time I tried a thickening cream, and I was impressed. I have very fine, thin hair, and it's always in need of a little extra "oomph," especially during the humid summer months. This product did make my hair look and feel noticeably thicker without weighing down my hair or causing a frizzy disaster. The one complaint I have is that the cream is kind of sticky, which makes drying and styling my hair more difficult than usual. Still, overall I liked it and would likely purchase again.

I recently purchased this pretty little dryer that gets hot and the hood drops. Dryer is poorly constructed plastic that softens when it heats up. Latches won't hold. Very disappointed.

I would not buy this product as it is poorly made. I also would not buy from the vendor. The hood of the hair dryer would not adjust up or down. And, after only two attempts to get the hood to adjust down the hood would not stay in open position. Also, when I turned the dryer on it immediately turned itself off. I contacted the Beauty in Black vendor for a return and they do not have a contact # only email. Their return policy has a 20% return restock fee and their email address to request a RMA (return merchandize authorization) #actually is with a different vendor called [...]. In sending the request as directed the email bounce back -- the email address is no good!!! So, I am at a lost how to get this issue resolved.

A life saver

I started going gray in my early 20's and started coloring my hair dark brown at age 40. At age 51 now, I recently decided it was time to stop pretending and let my natural silver gray hair grow out. After much research and many questions, I finally decided the healthiest way to do this is just to tough it out and let it grow out on its own. My hair has a natural part down the middle at the top, so of course, that is where the roots show the worst. Three weeks after my last permanent coloring, it was starting to look really bad, and I started scrambling for a way to make it less noticeable. I thought about a scarf, a hat, doing a kind of layover side part, anything imaginable. Then a lady at work, who also colored her hair the same dark brown color, told me about Roux Fanci-Full Rinse. She used the Chocolate Kiss in between colorings to extend the dye job. I had huge reservations, but at just over $4 a bottle, I didn't have that much to lose in trying it and gave it a whirl over a weekend, just in case it was bad, so no one would see. I was amazed. It totally covered the areas I put it on and looked exactly like I had just done an all over dye job. I was so happy, I went straight to her the next week to thank her. I use this every day now. There are three drawbacks, but only minor: it will come out with water, so don't get in the rain. It does add moisture back to your hair after towel-drying, so blow drying takes longer. And it does change the texture of your hair a little because it is a coating, so styling is different. For lack of a better explanation, it feels stiffer, but only until dry. You hair feels normal when dry. But all in all, this is a miracle and exactly what I needed to help me transition from dark brown to 70% gray, which is my natural color now. And I suggest you buy some rubber gloves to wear while using it and while drying your hair. Leave them on your hands and wash your hands with the gloves on so you can use them many times. It does stain the skin a little. Thank you, Roux!!!!
