exactly what my hair needed by gushing all over from on 2010-04-24 About me and my hair. I'm a 50 yr old woman with looooong, thick-thick-thick, curly/wavy brunette hair. I've had quite a bit of gray for a couple of decades now, but with all this hair it's probably a small ratio. The gray is a beautiful silver and white and I really didn't want to get rid of it, I just wanted my brunette to have the same vibrancy it use to have. I'm very happy to say the brunette is back!I'll never be able to use Youthair more than twice a week. It's like putting Elmer's on my hair!I've put the Youthair, water and a conditioner in a spray bottle to apply to my hair. I then go outside (spring rain permitting) and let it air/sun dry. Then I come in and finish drying the roots and section off my hair (16-18 sections), twirl it and clip it up to encourage the curl. I figured this easy way to keep my hair looking like I have an expensive perm in it last year! All the perms (and money!) and coloring to put the pigment back and I just needed to twirl it up and leave it for a few hours ... then wash it and viola ... looks like it's permed. But I wasn't happy with the color.I was looking at lots of different things to bring back the vibrancy and I'm glad I didn't quite looking till I found this. I'll order Youthair and Super Youthair and the liquid next time. Found some hints about this product on another site. The liquid is great for thinning down the creme and several people on the other site liked the results using both cremes together and thinning them with the liquid. I'll do that and add my conditioner, too. I won't recommend that for anyone else, but it helps eliminate the smell. Plus curly/wavy hair needs to be well conditioned. Nothing will kill the curl/wave faster than over-washing and drying it out.I could tell a difference in the sparkle of my hair after the first use. Some of the gray is turning blond. I don't care if the gray stays or goes, the product does exactly what I wanted. If you have thin hair I would highly recommend this product. My hair is thicker after using it twice a week for past 3 weeks. Could have done without that, but it looks beautiful! I sit out in the sun everyday there is some sunshine and it makes a huge difference. For me there is an added bonus. It will vary from person to person. With all this hair my husband didn't notice any smell and on a 1-10 scale (10 being you're choking to death) it's about .10 for me. He did notice my hair looked different/better/thicker. He wanted to know if I was doing something different to my hair. Like most men he rarely notices anything, but he loves my hair (he's bald, poor baby) and it may very well be why he married me! So, I really want to keep it beautiful for as long as I can. Youthair has given me my color back!! I do apply it nearly every day and I have no white or gray hairs whatsoever including the temples and sideburns. The sun has a tendency to activate the ingredients more vigorously; so I make sure to put it on prior to spending a day outside. It was the answer to a lot of prayers for me. Using light brown touch of gray on graying brown hair and leaving it on for only a few minutes fools everyone, even family. No one can tell. Your hair will look great and there is no--- I repeat no purple hue to it.

They all read like ad copy.First, BEWARE! Obviously what you see in commercial ads is the result of SKILLED PROFESSIONALS.Second the colors are very unnatural looking I am now able to spot a user of this product from 50 ft away. Very phony looking colors. I tried both the black and, a few months later the dark drown. Neither look like anything that could possibly grow out of a human head. Both have a definite purple/maroon/bluish tint to them. They all leave the mark of a cheap kitchen sink dye job. Colors are dull, mat, lifeless and covered over all the wonderful natural shine may hair already had. "Black"? "Dark Brown"? - better names would be 'mud', 'swamp water brown' or 'crude oil black.'Third, proper application requires professional skill. The applicator comb is a gimmick that deposits globs of product unevenly spread. There is no room for error with this product. Unless you are looking for a phony paint job go find a skilled professional or live with what you have - which, after all, IS natural and NEVER looks phoney. People just don't grow purplish hair!
Good product by Matt from NYS on 2010-07-12 I have light red hair. Tried the light brown. Works amazing. Make sure to only leave it in for 3-5 min then washout. Also, if you want to get the best affect wash your hair well and let it dry before applying.

Several ingredients are linked to cancer, neurotoxicity, allergy, and other health issues. I thought others here might like to consider this before purchasing.[...].I wish I didn't have to rate the product, since I haven't tried it, and by most accounts it works well. I just wanted to share this information since there is no warning on the label.
Works Well, But Wasteful by B. Mullins from Venice, CA USA on 2010-04-19 Sometimes it doesn't reduce the grey enough, but it's a lot better than the permanent dyes where you see dramatic differences in the hair/line after application.The odor isn't great, but nothing as bad as the permanent ones either. I apply some lotion around my hairline/ears prior to make it easier to wipe off if any splatters before staining. Make sure you check after application and subsequent shampooing for any brown blotches on your skin.Presumably for legal reasons, they have very scary language about doing an allergic test each time [for a long time] before application, but that isn't practical, nor are the chemicals as harsh in this semi-permanent form.Glad others spell out how to re-use, because only a person with a huge head of long hair down their back could possibly use all of the tube--otherwise you're using just a small fraction, making you purposely waste a lot. I've suggested to the company to make smaller tubes, but they won't--I'm guessing because they'll make a lot more $ the way it is packaged now, with costs similar to women's products where they do use more.

Calderon from Sunny, Florida on 2009-07-11 Well, I am 29 and about a year ago I had begun to loose some hair in the front of my scalp and had been panicking about it, so, I thought what the heck let me see if this product works. I have to admit that I have only tried it twice, and the reason being is that this spray is VERY MESSY and will also paint your face if your not careful. Also, I dont recommend anyone using it on a hot day, where you may be prone to sweating because if you do sweat, you better run to a bathroom to either wash it off or you will look rediculous with color all over your face. Conversely, I think maybe this spray may work better if your using it during the winter , or when it's not rainaing because it will look like your bleading on your head black paint.
