Bali: Beaches, Spas, Nightlife and Shahrukh Khan

For me, arriving at Bali was a delight for travelers. Nothing could beat travel fatigue better than the friendly, smiling Balinese faces at the Customs and Immigration at the airport in Denpasar and the visa on arrival 'in my passport for 10 USD in 15 minutes!

I had heard that Bali was an island of temples, dances and ancestral rituals, with more than 95 percent of the practice of 3 million people a form of Hinduism. But nothing prepared me for the spot in the recital of 'Gayatri Mantra' by the taxi driver, followed by a song from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in the same breath. I was surprised by the Bollywood craze in this Far Eastern city, so much so that I was immediately labeled 'Country of Shah Rukh Khan "of all taxi drivers and local I met!

At the airport, most tourists head straight to the beach areas of Kuta, Sanur, Jimbaran or Nusa Dua, Kuta chose simply because it is still arguably the center of nightlife activities, along with a variety of shops, boutiques and galleries, What more could you ask for?

Bali offers a wide section of hotels for all budgets from simple, cheap accommodation for backpackers to hotels five-star spa indulgence for those seeking pure luxury. I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, a stone's throw from the beach of Kuta.

At sunset, the beach Kuta is full of life, with people who want to enjoy the views breathtaking. Great collection of tourism, local sales of colored sarongs and batiks and a dance Balinese somewhere in the endless stretch of beach ... and if you want to dance away until the wee hours of the morning, you will not be disappointed - pubbing is amazing in Kuta, with a wide variety of pubs and clubs to offer a vibrant nightlife.

The best way to enjoy Kuta is simply asking the locals, that are a friendly always willing to help. I was lucky to have a very successful Indian friend in Indonesia-Pridhnani Kishore, who along with his wife Radha took me for a tour of night chic everywhere in Kuta. That left a lasting impression in my mind was Ku De Ta, a chic restaurant overlooking the beach. I loved the atmosphere at night and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

However, if your type of vacation is to rest and relax, head to the southern peninsula, with world-class independent luxury hotels located in quiet sections of the beach of Sanur and Nusa Dua and Jimbaran Bay in. (which is also very popular for reasonable seafood) white sandy beaches dotted with thousands of mangroves and coconut palms and protected by coral reefs, creating an ideal haven for honeymooners or those who prefer solitude.

To take a break from the hustle and bustle of Kuta, I headed for Ubud, which I must say that it has retained the atmosphere of a cozy retreat town despite the growing tourism industry. Ubud is the arts and crafts capital of Bali, so in addition to streets lined with countless shops and craft workshops in traditional, a number of different art galleries and museums to visit.

The next I went to a day trip cruise from Benoa harbor that brought me to Lembongan Island, a popular spot for surfers and divers. (at approx. USD 60 onwards for the day cruise includes lunch, I think it is worth a visit). Arriving to the white sand beaches of Lembongan Bay, you can take guided diving trips and glass bottom cruise or simply walk through the native peoples of Bali

If want to take a break in the beach scenario, suggest a trip in the cool mountains of Kintamani with its green rice fields, the placid Lake Batur resting on a huge crater and the impressive Mount Batur volcano that dominates the landscape. The nights tend to get cooler, so bring a warm sweater or blanket and make sure have the camera with you to catch the spectacular view of Mount Batur.

Bali is one of the Spa capital of the world where you can indulge yourself in a treatment spa at very reasonable prices. If you want to enjoy then you can enjoy an elaborate menu of massages Lulur, rice, pasta peels, aroma baths flower petals and indulgent bath cream. I suggest you check some of the local spas spa therapies work on your vacation schedule a daily basis. And do not forget traditional drinks made of herbs and roots 'jamu', a local resort of Bali for fatigue, headaches, aching bones or chills.

For the more adventurous and sporty, Bali offers a lot of adrenaline pumping water sports, both below and above water. Surfing, diving, banana boat, diving, parasailing, jet skiing, bungee jumping, Bali offers it all.

Try river rafting on the Ayung River amidst natural tropical forest. Journey through the fast-flowing Ayung River, which carves its way and numerous quick hairpin curves and swirls. A full-day program only cost around USD 35 onwards and I thought well the experience exhilarating.

For lovers of the underwater world and always wanted to dive, not spectacular, diving and snorkeling in the virgin coral reefs around the island, with the most amazing marine life and colorful. There are even courses for apprentice professional qualified instructors for the fans (you can take the course of a day for less than $ 100)

And while you're at the beach enjoying the water sports, not to enjoy the restaurants, which coax you try to braid hair, getting tattoos or even have a relaxing massage.

If traveling with children, be sure to take Waterboom Park. My children and I enjoyed a day of water slides and pools in all sizes, with restaurants and bars within arms reach ... good family fun for kids of all ages!

When you feel like venturing out for a meal, there are plenty of cafes open bamboo breeze that serve Bali real face, and a variety of international luxury. But for Miss Indian food, I suggest you try a delicious meal at the Queen's Tandoor in Bali, where the owners Puneet Malhotra and Neeta out of the way of pampering with personalized attention.

Another pastime here is shopping!

For those who want to get away much of the beach, Sanur, Kuta and Ubud have more than enough to appease any shopper, from sarongs and sandals to wooden statues, carved in stone and iron and bronze. But if you're interested in buying, you can buy things brand or shopping malls as well Mahatari factory sales for the clothing brand.

Find the ultimate free shipping outdoor market in southern Bali, where traditional Asian style shopping and still thrives. You can see the styles of painting local. I suggest that always last less than one third of the price, and even by foot to reach the price you want. .

And before leaving Bali do not forget to buy your cold sauce called Sambal (is one of them is good and you can even pick it up at the duty free at the airport in Bali.)
