I ordered this product for my well groomed husband and he was very impressed by it.. Especially for the price. I don't know that it's the best he's ever had, but he is very happy with it :)

There's a way to fix the noise

Yes it is loud, but if you adjust the screw on the right side, you can get rid of the noise. Use a phillips head screwdriver to tighten it, and when it gets too loud, unscrew it a little bit. With a little tweaking you can have it running fine.

Although I have owned a couple of Wahl beard and side burn trimmers in the past, this is the first time I have owned a hair clipper from them or any other clipper for that matter. Before making this purchase, I have made careful and thorough research because there are a lot of other trimmers out there to choose from. And for a someone who has not owned a hair clipper before, making an informed decision based on customer reviews seems to be the most concrete way of deciding this purchase. After weighing the pros and cons of the reviews, I finally made up my mind and bought one. And I tell you it has been one of the better purchases I made in my entire life! Going to the barber and spending $13 plus tips almost every month is no easy task for your pocket. And in these tough economic times, anything you can do to make life easier financially should be done. Nowadays, saving money is one of the top priorities for the normal consumer with endearing objectives. Haircuts shouldn't be any different. The money you save from having one every month can go to other endeavors that needs streamlining.I like the way this clipper is set up: the guide-combs are color-coded, with an instant glance and no fumbling, you can choose your selection. The clipper is contour-designed to fit your hand, thus avoiding awkward positions when making a sweeping action on cutting. Some customers complained about the noise and vibration, I found it quite bearable. In fact the ones that my barber uses are much more noisy and the vibration much greater. The blade can be adjusted with a push/pull of a lever to suit your degree of tapering. It cuts a lot of hair with just one sweep, testament to this clipper's power and the sharpness of the blades. My only hope is that even with a lot of use, with proper care and maintenance, it won't get dull that easily.The clipper looks and feels durable. The weight is just enough to counter the sweeping action once you start clipping. It also comes with a left/right ear trimming guide comb to buzz through the curving angle action behind your ears and an eye-brow guide-comb to trim those excessive hair in your eye-brows. It also comes with 3 different size hair combs, a scissor, a plastic cape, clips to hold the cape, brush and oil, instruction manual. My Wife and my Mom cuts my hair alternately, and I tell you the first time they used it, they didn't even read the instruction manual and they were able to give me a haircut to my liking. Both of them have no prior experience whatsoever in cutting hair. The first time experience was all they needed (and a little common sense) to get the feel and idea to use this clipper so I would say these clippers are user-friendly too.The money you will be saving from going to the barber outweighs the price of this clipper, which by the way if you buy them here in Amazon will save you a ton plus no tax and free shipping. It pays for itself already after having just 2 haircuts from the barber! I highly recommend this product!

I wish I would have read the other reviews of this product before I purchased it at Walgreens. After reading the reviews I decided to see for myself how loud the trimmer is and how poor of performance it has; let me tell you that everything every negative reviewer has said here is true.This trimmer is LOUD.This trimmer sucks at trimming hair. I have a buzz cut so it's not as though it is that difficult to get through. However, I had to stop trimming my hair several times because the blade kept getting stuck in the guard just from barely pushing the trimmer through.I'm now looking at some Oster trimmers. My last Wahl trimmer was wonderful but I couldn't find it again in the store.

Good for about a year, so go for something a little better.

I've been through three of these things in the last 3-4 years, and you'd think I would've learned my lesson after the second clipper died. I think it's the price that gets me, but next time, I'll definitely be spending a little extra for a better shaver. But as it is, this one gets the job done fairly well (until it suddenly stops working after a year). To tell you the truth, I only used the color coded attachments a few times to see how they were, since I shave my head with none of them on and have no need for them since I don't want hair. The attachments broke with an average amount of pressure. If you have thin hair, this shouldn't be a problem, but for people like me with thick, coarse hair, of course you'll be needing to use pressure to get through it. Oddly, there'd be some long hairs in sections that I shaved with these things on, like it somehow missed them. I see that other people experienced the same problem as well.Since I shave my head without any attachments so the hair is as short as possible, I use the clippers on their own. It actually takes a while to completely shave my head- about 10-15 minutes, which seems pretty long for hair that never goes more than 10 days without being shaved. I usually have to press down pretty hard to make sure it gets the hairs, shaving up and down, and even sideways sometimes. This thing gets hot after a few minutes, so if you buy it, be sure to give it a rest after about 6 minutes of continuous use. And use the brush and oil that come with it to clean it properly, because this thing gets hairs in every possible area. I also don't like how short the cord is, but that'll only matter for people who have electric outlets in odd places.As for these things dying, yeah, despite me taking good care of these, they all die after about a year. I'll flick the power on, and the clippers move/buzz very slowly. I'll let it go for a few minutes to see if it just needs to warm up, and then instead of going back to regular speed, it flat-out dies. Any time I contact Wahl about their warranty, I never get a response.For cheap clippers, these are nice, though again, I can't speak much for the color coded attachments since I don't like having hair. But I highly recommend for something a little more expensive, and with more solid reviews. Face it, it's annoying to buy something like this once a year.

Best Hair Color Remover!!!

I have tried many other hair dye removers and this is by far the best one. I have used this product many times on myself and different people. It is true that it does remove even black hair dye. Keep in mind that you most likely will have to repeat the application 2 or more times to get an even result. So I would purchase more than 1 especially if your hair is long - and don't forget the Oreor 20vol Cream Developer to mix it with. Also, get a really good conditioner because your hair will feel dry for a while.

Works, but probably need to do it twice

I dyed my hair black (blue black to be exact) about three months ago and my natural hair color is pretty much carrot orange with blonde highlights (strawberry blonde). It took most of the black out and took my hair color to orangish red. I am gonna do another shot at it and see what happens. All and all though, for getting out black dye, this product is pretty amazing! And it left my hair feeling soft and almost better then before!

I really liked this Clio shaver, and it didn't irritate my sensitive underarm or bikini area. However, the shaver didn't provide a super close shave for my underarms, which is necessary when wearing sleeveless tops. All of a sudden, in less than a year of use, the shaver stopped working, and I had only been using it one to two times a week (switching use of this shaver with a different shaver), so it's not like it received heavy use before it died. I think the problem is that the motor no longer works, and it must be a cheap motor. I also noticed that some of the teeny screws have some rust, even though I never got any water on them (must be from the humidity in the air)...screws in razors should not rust. I am so disappointed that this razor didn't even last a year. I would expect at least a couple years of use out of a $10 battery-operated razor. In fact, I still have a very inexpensive battery-operated trimming razor that still works after 23 years! Well, they don't make them like they used to, that's for sure.

I was really hopeful based on others reviews, but this shaver sucks! I had a similar sized electric shaver with a cord from the 70s that i threw away when I purchased this (the cord kept falling out & was probably not too safe anymore) but that shaver worked. This one barely cuts when fresh batteries are installed. I would have to go up & down my leg in the same spot for several minutes before it would be even partially smooth. It says you can use it wet, I didn't try but this. It only lasted about 8 months before it completely died, and I only used it a few times a month, when I didn't have time to shave with a blade. oh well.

This will replace my razor!

I get severe irritation and infected hairs from regular shaving. I've tried cream hair removers but they cause an allergic reaction with my sensitive skin. I just purchased this item at a local drug store yesterday based in the good reviews and I'm very happy! It's so easy to use and does not cause any pain or irritation at all! The best part is being able to shave while in the shower or out and you don't need to spend anymore money on shaving cream. It gives a close shave and works even on coarse hair or sensitive areas. It has made it fun to shave. I'm going on vacation soon and this will be great to take along. It's not very loud and it's very light weight and portable. This is easily the best $10 I've spent in a long time. Hopefully it will help end my shaving related skin issues and I won't be using a regular razor anymore. I highly recommend this to anyone due to ease of use, no irritation, and you won't cut your ankle or knee by accident anymore. Get this shaver!

I bought this when I went into the hospital for an extended visit and couldn't have any cords. I really wasn't expecting much, but wow it does a great job. I replaced my old manual shaver with this one it does so well. I like that it is small and the battery life is long. It gets the job done! It is the best electric razor I have ever used.

This was a replacement for a Remington hair clipper that we felt was not doing an adequate job. However, the Oster clipper is much worse. It cuts very poorly, and leaves long hairs behind. Wish we had the old ones back, which have been given away.

I had to return the first one I brought because there was supposed to be an extra blade included, but was missing. I sent it back & got another one but the blade was missing also. I think someone is removing the replacement blades from the boxes. I kept this one because I needed it.I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Heavy duty clippers with lousy results...

I was very disappointed with this purchase. I bought these to replace my old Remington clippers thinking I was upgrading; I was wrong. I cut my hair very short, almost military style. Every pass I took with these clippers with the #1 clip, or bare for that matter, it would literally only cut about 40% of the blade width. Almost in 1/4" segments, so I would have like 4 stripes going across my head; I would have to make like 5 passes in tiny increments to cut all of the hair in one section. Poor design, I suppose. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
