changing hair colour?

Hiya,

im really tempted in having a complete change and dying my hair. ive never done it before so was thinking about going to a hair dressers just to be safe. i have dark brown hair at the moment and want to change to a lighter shade of brown but not really sure what.

do you know of any sites that have colour charts or anything? or have you dyed your hair a lighter shade of brown?

Personal opinion - I think dark brown is much prettier then lighter brown hair
