This is the only conditioner that calms my hair. It makes my hair feel very soft and helps to define curls without any frizziness. It is very economical since a small amount does the job well!

Quality product, good price

I have type 4a hair - basically it's a frizzy mess sometimes. I can't speak for anyone but my own hair and hair type but this works really well for my hair. This leave in creme from Herbal Essence really helps tame the frizz in my hair without weighing it down or making it greasy. It also has a wonderful citrus scent that leaves my hair smelling great! I've found it especially effective after shampooing and a deep conditioning my hair. I put a dollop of this in my hair along with a little unrefined virgin coconut oil and my hair is moisturized, soft, my coils are very defined and my hair has a high sheen to it. I love it. It's definitely a staple for me!

Well, I was a little disappointed in this stuff. I mean of course it smells amazing just like the shampoo and conditioner, but as far as how well it works, it kind of lacks. I have hair that is not completely out of control, but it does need some help. My hair is not that damaged but I have dyed it quite a bit. I was hoping this would kind of help my little frizzies up around my face because that's where I frizz the most, and it couldn't even do that really. And my bangs have never been dyed so that's all natural healthy hair. I only a little bit of it every now and then just for the good smell. Other than that, back to Redkin.

I have actually had this product for a few months now, and I searched for some reviews to see what other users thought of it! I own a lot of hair styling products, I mean, a LOT. And by far, this smells the best! I can't describe with words how amazing it smells. Its tantalizingly fresh and fruity. I use it on wet hair on the ends and mid lenghts of my elbow length hair. It reduces frizz and makes for a very soft head of hair. Just don't use too much! It depends on your length of hair and on how frizzy and/or dry it is. But no more than a quarter sized amount, it could easily become greasy if too much is used. Overall, I would highly reccomend this product to anyone who is looking for soft, well conditioned, frizz free and great smelling hair.

i got the moisturizing shampoo+conditioner a bit reluctantly, being one of those people who likes thier shampoo and conditioner seperate- also, not thinking too highly of herbal essences in general. however, all that changed after this purchase- it left my hair feeling silky smooth and healthy (as opposed to its usual bushy glory)

Best Hair Color!!!

I have used this hair color for years and it is the absolute best! I have dark brown hair and this turns it an extremely light blonde, just like in the picture! I get compliments on it all the time and people are amazed that I do it myself! Recently I have not been able to find it in stores so I tried Revlon and then LOreal colors but neither even came close to the lightness that I get with Herbal Essences. Right now I am waiting for my online order to come in so I can fix what these other products did. It is also not very damaging as it has no ammonia and from what I have experienced it will turn your hair the color that it shows on the box (unlike other brands!!) and is the least damaging for the color it gives. The conditioner is also wonderful. My only advice is that I leave the dye on for about an hour before washing it off which is longer than the directions say to, but my hair looks wonderful afterward and it is still less damaging than other hair dyes.

A Good Curl & Wave enhancing mousse

The paramount thing you must do in using so-called "curl-enhancing" products is to be REALISTIC. You won't get perfect spiral curls if you have naturally straight hair...you will most likely just come out with waves unless you use heat. And if you don't want to use heat, don't expect curls! Heat makes curls, and as the directions say, use heat to create actual curls. This is a really good product as long as you know realistically what your hair will do. For reference, my hair is mid-back (perhaps a little shorter), coarse 4a texture, but I do relax it. I put this (quite of lot of it actually) on wet hair, and just let it air dry (I don't want to use heat in my hair). The end result is loose waves/lazy curls. I actually wish I could give 1/2 stars, so I could rate this product a true 4.5. The only con is that is DOES leave the hair kind of hard and crunchy, but that depends on how much you use it (I'm heavy-handed with products, so I tend to use a lot). I suppose if you use less this wouldn't happen. I believe you should pair it with the gel for optimal results. Also, the updated packing is very cute! And this mousse smells pretty good! It has a floral scent, which is alright. Overall, I think this mousse is good for making curls and waves.

great for my type of hair

Totally Twisted is a great prodcut for my type of hair. It helps my hair naturally wave. On the back it says to blow dry with a diffuser and everything, but I just let it towel dry and it works fine. Just don't touch your hair; it creates frizz. Overall a great product. I love Herbal Essences!

Nice and thick, but leaves flakes

I've kept long perms going for the last few years and have been told by my hairdresser that the secret to perfect curls is mousse, mousse, mousse.I tried TIGI Perfect Mousse, but considering its price tag of close to $15 and the fact that it comes out looking like bubble bath foam, this serves my purposes equally well and for far cheaper.The dispenser mechanism is white grated plastic with a small shelf-like button that you press to release the product--not like the thin tubes that you have to push on one way or another. The mousse comes out very quickly, though, so be careful. You'll wind up with a lot of it faster than you'd think.It comes out rich and lathery, almost like shaving cream but without being so liquidy. It's pure white and slightly malleable before it's been in the air for too long.The only problem I can really see is that it leaves enough residue on my hair that I get a flaking effect--I wash my hair thoroughly and so I don't think it's me lacking in a good enough shampoo technique.Overall, this is an excellent mousse for curls and leaves a very nice lavender scent that is neither overpowering or that noticeable after a while.

Super Curly Hair - First Product that made my hair beautiful!

I absolutely love this product! I have naturally curly hair and I use this daily and it makes my hair gorgeous! I use a moisturizer first, then I section off my hair, do the bottom section, then the top; then I use Herbal Essence's hair spray gel if I want it crunchy, and if I want it soft I just use their hairspray. I have been trying for years to be able to easily wear my hair down and hundreds of products later I have found this one and I love it. I highly recommend it.

Helpful Thyme

In Nov 05 I went home to visit my parents who still live in Germany and while visiting my son (now 15) and my husband both got really sick (I think it was the change in climate - we live in Alaska where it's a dry cold but Germany has a wet cold). Both of them were coughing their heads off.My mother (bless her heart) suggested a "Tymianbad". The translation is thyme-bath and what it is is the powder of this wonderful little packet added to the bath water while the bath is drawn. Then the affected person would stay in the bath water for at least 15 minutes. After the bath the person needs to go straight to bed and get some rest. So my mother made both my husband and my son take a Tymianbad. My son went to bed and as soon as his head hit the pillow he was out - sound asleep! He sounded a lot better the next day, meaning the cough was getting better. He had another bath that evening and he was almost as good as new the following day. My husband on the other hand had been resisting the notion of having to take another one of the Thyme baths and even though he sounded better after the first he took a whole lot longer to get rid of his nasty cold than my son. So, two thumbs up for the tyme bath mix! :)
