What can I put in my hair (black guy) to make it more curly than it is?

Hey, I'm considering growing my hair back out, but I do not want braids or dreads, as I think they look less appropriate for the professional environment. I want to keep one of those small curly type fros, what product(s) can I put in my hair once I have grown it out a bit to achieve this?

Well I'm gonna tell you one thing. Do NOT USE S-Curl!!! S-Curl ruined my hair last year! It's funny because I had been curling my hair with products like S-Curl for 2 whole years. But the fact was that it wasn't S-Curl. It was another product that I forgot the name of. But anyway, I was growing out my hair again and I had to purchase S-Curl because I couldn't afford the other curling product at the time. S-Curl was only like $5.00. And my hair was dyed too. It was like some kind of brown. Idk. I forgot. But as soon as I put that gunk in my hair, I felt it burning already! I washed it out after the required time and got out the shower, towel-dried my hair and bits of pieces were falling off!!! Everytime I pulled my hair it came out!! And to top it all off I had chemical burns!

It took me moisturizer lotion, 2 hair cuts, and a month later for me to get my natural hair back. I will never use S-Curl again. S-Curl is straight crap.

But don't let all that stop you from getting a real texturizer. There are other great ones that always work for me on the market. If only I could remember the name! And don't forget that if you have virgin hair (which is hair that has never been relaxed or texturized or dyed), the curling products work the best on you.
