Progaine Volumizing Shampoo

Progaine Volumizing Shampoo

Is aging a common reason for hair loss?

Is 27 too young to lose your hair? What can you do besides Rogaine? My hair has always been thin in texture, but I had many including two-three years ago. I lost a lot of them this year. And no diet issues in question. What are good conditioners to make them look healthy? I can use Rogaine. I use volumizing shampoo Progain. I want to know about air-conditioners and other products that can make it look good. I do not like hairspray.

Hi-For one thing, I guess from your question that you are a woman and answer to your question accordingly. I also note that I am a Ph.D. scientist MD not a doctor. This means that any idea that I offer should not be taken as medical advice. It is always my recommendation that any health issues are sent to a primary care provider. With that understanding in place, I would like to offer the following thoughts in response to your question. First, in the case of early onset hair loss in women is important to establish a definitive diagnosis, ruling out the less common causes. Depending on what your primary care physician notes may be referred to an endocrinologist more familiar with the processes of female hair loss diseases. Ultimately, should be able to reach a proper diagnosis. Then you can begin to consider treatment options. Meanwhile, jumping from one product to another without really understanding what is causing the problem is a strategy that is probably doomed to failure. It may be useful to understand a little about the underlying physiology growwth hair and hair loss. In general, as women age subtle changes in the endocrine balance may precipitate changes in the homeostasis (physiological equilibrium). Among these changes are those that affect hair growth. Despite these changes that affect hair usually occur in one of forty years in the mid-forties, earlier onset of hair loss in women is not particularly rare. Environmental influences, ranging from medicine to the diet of beauty products, such as perm solutions can also affect the hair, and possibly accelerate the process of hair loss. A major factor has a profound influence hair growth and hair loss is a genetic constitution. Some people of both sexes are genetically "wired" to experience the hair loss than others with different genetic makeup. The genes and pathways that regulate hair growth are only now beginning to be developed. Now we have laid the groundwork for some of the factors that regulate hair growth and hair loss should briefly touch on how to address the most common. For the sake of argument, let's say your diagnosis turns out to be garden variety female pattern hair loss. For reasons long to enter this document the treatment of certain options available to women are somewhat different than normally appropriate for men. For example, there are a number of pharmaceutically derived drugs that are available for women suffering from hair loss pattern. Some work better than others depending on the situation. These medications include diazoxide, flutamide, and others. Your physician will be the best source of information on which of these, if any, may be appropriate for treat you. Or you may be offered a regimen that includes the use of minoxidil. Another option that has just come on the scene is the use of derivatives not botanically based chemotherapy. There are a number of these products on the market today. And once again, some work better than others. If this is an approach that is being considered, I would suggest relegating its control to treatments that have been peer reviewed medical published data to support their claims. The next alternative is surgical hair restoration where small sections of hair bearing tissue is excised from the thicker areas of your scalp and moved to areas where they may be needed to cover cosmetics. Think of this as analogous to moving the herbs in their garden to your front yard. In the right hands, the results of this process can be very positive. In my opinion, Dr. Martin Tessler in Michigan, and Dr. Dan Didocha in Colorado has a great ability and experience in this particular area of medicine. You can find more information about this process in general, looking up "hair transplantation in women" on the web. Finally, once you determine what is causing your hair loss and decide to start treatment (of the treatment regardless of your choice), I strongly recommend the use of monthly progress photographs of the affected region of scalp. Take pictures of reference and regular progress photos so objectively evaluate the benefit of your choice or provide treatment. If you have specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact my attention. Otherwise, I hope I helped answer your inquiry.
