Should I go goth or stay professional looking?

I normally dress very professional (I go to Grade 12, am 17 years old), but I got dressed for the Halloween dance today as a Goth Fairy, and I love myself with Black hair and the makeup. I think it's sexy. My mom says I have to wait until I move out, but then no one will hire me for a job because I'm not professional looking and no one is a goth and over 40 years old (theoretically). Shouldn't I be allowed to be goth for 1 year before I go to college?

" go goth" is kind of the wrong way to put it.
Most people associate goth with the way of living as well, eg listening to ehavy music going against the steriotypes rebelling etc.
so to just " go goth" isnt something you can pick and choose.

BUT i recon that if you feel comfortable dressing in that style and you prefer the way you look dressed like that, there is nothing wrong with trying that style out.
so yeah, do it, just dont try and change your personality to fit the steriotype that can be associated with the look otherwise people will just think your fake and following trends
