I have both Pantene shampoo and conditioner beautiful lenghts. It was amazing product to use for long hair. I have long hair close to my shoulder and I use it a few time and notice the different with my hair. My hair become less frizzy, more shine and more healthier to my hair. I also notice that my hair still growing more inches and now my hair lengths on the middle of my back. If you want to have healthier hair without damanged, dull, dry, anything that you have problem with and have long hair then I recommed this product to use to help your hair to be healthier.

I have used this product for 3 weeks regularly. first day when i used this shampoo it i had few hair drop off. 2-4 day 20-30 hairs drop off end of first week 2-3 hair and i was very happy with the product. second week it started again 10-20 hairs 3rd week 20-40 hair. Now I am able to see top of my scalp/crown. It was never this worse. my scalp started drying and health of my hair just worsened. I have black hair with dark brown shade. the shampoo dried the scalp/hair so much that there was no shine left and my hair started looking whitish. that's where i stopped using this product. i wish i stoped using this product before. I would no recommend this shampoo unless you want to get bold in a month.

DS Shampoo was terrible for me.

I tried it for about 3 weeks and by that time my hair got so oily that i had to use any other shampoo to clean my hair. I followed the instructions of DS Shampoo that say you should wash your hair twice,but after i got out of the shower my hair looked like if i didn't use any shampoo at all or like if i washed my hair with only water. After that, i couldn't keep using DS Shampoo to see hair growth results, instead i tried another cheap shampoo and my hair looked great with no oil.

My hair started thinning when I was 18 and I have always had a very dry scalp. I bought this along with some minoxidil to try and stop my hair from thinning. I have used Head and Shoulders for my dry scalp for years. Since I started using this I have not used the H&S once. For me it is a great shampoo that I will continue to purchase regardless of the hair growth properties. Both my wife and me have noticed that my hair does seem a little bit thicker but I dont see it growing like crazy.

Hair LOSS stimulating shampoo

This has to be the worst and most expensive shampoo that I've ever used. My hair began falling out when i started using this but i figured i would keep going since it said your hair might fall out for the first couple of weeks. Its been a little over a month now and i just finished my first bottle of revita. My hair is still falling out and if anything its gotten progressively worse. I had low to moderate hair loss before i started using this, now its high (15+ hairs fall per shower). I am giving this another chance, but i am buying the roundtop bottle to see if its any better and if my hair doesn't stop falling out then that will be my last revita purchase ever. Its not even a good shampoo, it dries up and tangles my hair and on some parts it doesn't even come off completely from the water so it feels like gel in my hair. Although i'm beginning to see patches of hair loss on my head, the shampoo is giving my hair more volume which is the only pro to it (somehow i feel its not worth the sacrifice). I will write another review when i'm done with the second one, i'm hoping it gets better.

Worst shampoo for hair loss

Do not buy this product if you'd like to retain your hair! You shed hair like crazy after using this product. I purchased two bottles of this stuff, and only utilized about half of the first bottle before I ended up tossing them away. The bottles arrived leaking, just like other reviewers have noted as well. I've actually had great luck with two other shampoos, one of which is available here on Amazon - check them out - Your Crown and Glory Shampoo, and the other is L-Carnitine Shampoo by Hewley (available on Amazon). Both these products have helped with a healthy scalp, in turn growing new hairs! I've had people comment about how thick my hair is getting, and about the continued new hair growth! Stay away from the Revita, but try the others! Good luck!

I have highlights and the color process tends to leave my hair pretty weak and prone to breakage, which is why I bought this shampoo. It's an ok shampoo...not bad, but not a miracle 'potion' either. It's hard to tell if it really makes a difference for my hair since I also use hair masks and leave in conditioners. I like to try new things so I don't think I would repurchase this.

I'm a female and natural redhead with very fine long hair..plus my age (late 40s) has brought thinning hair. I've tried many products for thinning hair and/or those advertising adding more body. This is the best shampoo I've found..I'm thrilled it builds body in my hair so well. I also use a very mild conditioner from avon which is not for body. My hair is soft and full..it feels and looks so good. We all know what works for one person might not work for another, but this is worth a try.

fine as a mild shampoo but does not thicken hair

There is no such thing as a shampoo that will make your hair grow nor will any add natural thickness to your hair. These claims are totally unwarranted and without merit. Incidentally the back of the bottle states that this will: maintain a healthy scalp, nourish follicles, help restore thinning hair, strengthen hair strands and boost body and volume. I use this shampoo because it is very mild and has a nice fragrance (lemon). It is certified organic by Quality Assurance International and by BioAgriCert (a company in Italy). I wish Avalon (the brand that manufactures this) would have taken a little bit more care in the packaging, it's just a bottle with a lid that anyone can open up (there isn't any safety seal around the top and the lid can come completely off unlike other big-name brands). Biotin is not the main ingredient in this (it is the 9th listed), some of the other ingredients include: organic aloe barbadensis leaf juice (2nd ingredient), soy protein, citric acid, potassium sorbate and organic rosemary officinalis. This is not 14 ounces though. I thought the bottle looked a little small (compared to my Pantene which is only 12.6) and found it to be barely 12 ounces. When I contacted Amazon they quickly issues me a partial refund for the mistake. Even with the rebate they offered me this is still a little pricey. But if you want a light shampoo without a lot of harsh chemicals then you may want to try this.

I haven't bought this shampoo yet, but while all the raves about this shampoo almost made me buy this one, I somehow got suspicious about the good reviews (thought too good to be true). So I did some search about biotin and here's what wikipedia entry of biotin says:"Biotin is often recommended for strengthening hair and nails. Consequently, it is found in many cosmetics and health products for the hair and skin, though it cannot be absorbed through the hair or skin itself.Biotin deficiency is rare, as, in general, intestinal bacteria produce an excess of the body's recommended daily requirement. For that reason, statutory agencies in many countries, for example the USA and Australia, do not prescribe a recommended daily intake of biotin."If this is true, it's very likely that biotin contained in shampoos, conditioners (not just this one) won't do much for hair growth, thickening.

I think it's just an ok product.I have had better shampoos and conditioners and I have had worse ones. And I wont buy those again just because of the bottles. The bottles are so hard , you can't get the product out,especially conditioner.I have to keep my bottles upside down .Even then I still have hard time. I think conditioner should be sold in jars because it is very thick.But I do recommend the Moroccanoil Oil Hair Treatment. It is FANTASTIC!

I like to consider myself a hair and make-up junkie! I'm willing to try just about anything to find the perfect product...and I've found it in Pureology Shampoo and Conditioner. My hair is very course and curly and is color treated every 6 weeks. Along with coloring my hair, I blow dry it every single day and with using these two products, my hair has never been healthier, shinier or softer! I will never use anything else on my hair. I receive compliments almost daily on how "healthy" my hair looks. It's expensive but well worth it! And the peppermint scent from the conditioner helps to open my sinuses in the shower. Not only is this product making my hair soft, shiny and manageable, I'm breathing better too! I LOVE this product!!

I'm an African-American male.I'm using this shampoo along with Ajuven H2G hair growh capsules and Spectral DNC hairloss spray(minoxidil).I think it may be working, but can't really tell because I'm using two other hair growh products. But must say, even though it's expensive, I'm still on my first bottle and have a lot more of the shampoo in the bottle, and It's been since March since I've starting taking everything.My hair is more fuller, longer. I've had too many hair transplants(on and off procedures because of financial contraints) and never really got a fully completed transplanted head full of grafts. So I'm thin on top, lots of hair lost gong down back.But must say, with these produtcs, I'm seeing a differnce. But if your hair loss has been years; the scalp where the hair loss is smooth, this means the hair follicle is no longer there and no hair will grow.But I would still recommned this products, espeically to those who are just beginning to experience thinning and or experiencing hair loss.

new hair growing slow.. but surely..

I have been using this product for about 2 months now.. i took pictures of before i got this product and my hair was falling out quite a bit.. .you could actually see bold spots in the top of my head and in the front. I got the product back on March, started using it ever since .. the first 2 to 3 weeks the hair that was dead or damage actually fall out even more than expected.. but don't get nervous.. ( i thought it was a bad idea , but continue using it ).. i read all instructions and information on the bottle and the sheet that comes with the package.. this is the first step of the process.. so first it works on your scalp to clean the area and get rid of any damage hair , then it helps grow new hair in the next month.. you will see that small hair sprouts will come out on the areas where there was no hair.. One thing is that you have to leave it on your scalp for about 3 minutes to wash, and then rinse again and leave on for another 5 minutes ... ( this is so that the shampoo can get deep into your scalp.. don't worry about the size of the bottle, because it seems small, but on a daily routine it can actually last about a month or so.. believe me .. this really does work, but don't think just because new hair is growing you can stop using it, No... in the contrary, you need to continue with this treatment probably for the rest of time .. or until something better comes out.. but i will recommed this to anyone that wants results fast and steady.. i will continue using this product and keep you post it on the results... Revita is doing a great job on this product..

Wish it wasn't so expensive; loved it

I've had 3 bottles of this shampoo, but had been buying from another site which no longer carries it. Bought last from Amazon through a partner & it was more expensive than other site.Hair is fuller & new growth seemed stronger than other strands of hair. I do know that, for me, it caused new growth because I found some 2-3 inch patches of hair where I had none before (almost reminded me of when the kids had cut each others' hair). I would not have noticed new growth, except rest of my hair is >12 inches long so a dime-sized patch of new growth that is shorter than rest of hair sticks out.I read some other sites recommending this shampoo & it claims that diameter of hair is thickened, making overall new hair growth stronger & thicker. It did not claim new individual strand growth though, only thickening of existing hair shafts @root.After starting this shampoo, overall hair loss decreased significantly. Husband & I used-2 notice large amounts of my hair in shower drains & in hairbrush, but only a small amount is evident now.I would recommend this shampoo.It tingles when applied.Before I ran out of this brand, I used it religiously every other day...along with my own conditioner. I'm trying to recall, but I think I noticed significantly less hair loss after about 1 month of use. One bottle usually lasts me about 2 months, but my hair is much longer than most, so it would probably last shorter hairstyles 3-4 months (if used per instructions - wash & leave in hair about 1 min, then rinse, wash again and leave in hair 2min or longer). Lather on repeat wash is very full!Hair seems to have more volume after use of this shampoo, compared to my regular shampoo that I alternate with.

I swim about 4-5 days a week, and my hair was getting brittle and crunchy. It took about 3 or so shampooings with Ultraswim before I started noticing a difference. But, in all fairness it has definitely made a difference. Just be warned that you NEED to use a conditioner with this shampoo. Your hair will feel very stripped otherwise. Ultraswim's conditioner is as good a choice as any.The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the formula is very thin and liquidy. It just makes it slightly more difficult to use than a nice thick formula.

Ultra Swim does a wonderful job of removing chlorine from my hair after spending an afternoon in the pool. It not only gets out the chlorine smell but really conditions my hair adding body and decreasing the dryig effects of chlorine.

Anyone who spends a great deal of time in water like I do, knows that keeping her hair in good shape is tough when you need to find hair care products that will remove chlorine from your locks. I swim on average, every other day. No green hair!

I swim 3 times a week in a pool that uses chlorine as well as a saline solution to clean the water. I have naturally blond hair which is also very fine and prone to breakage. I used to have problems with my hair turning green from the chlorine, but now after using this shampoo I don't have a problem with it.I make sure to wash my hair immediately after leaving the pool and use a generous amount of the shampoo so as to work up a good lather. Although the instructions do not say to, I usually let it sit on my hair for a few minutes before rinsing. In order to keep my hair soft and damage free I follow with a concentrated conditioner. Once it's dry I put about a teaspoon of olive oil in my hair using a soft bristled brush to distribute it. My hair is always silky soft and has no split ends or other damage.The shampoo does a very good job at removing chlorine as well as other minerals that can damage hair. I really love it.

After 8 months of swimming 3 times a week my hair was a wreck. I was naive about how chlorine dries hair making it brittle and yes, unmanageable. I color my hair too, which made the situation even worse. I bought UltraSwim shampoo based on the comments here and in one washing I had my hair "back."
