Excellent product

This product is great. Not only does it help to get my hair super straight it also holds it in to place.

Fast, no leak, great value

by Hemingway Hater from Miami, FL on 2010-07-07
The product came within about a week. The pump was taped securely and the bottle placed in popcorn, to prevent leaks and damage. Even with shipping, the total was under $20, about the cost of the 5 oz size at most retailers (online and off). This is the only straightening product that resists humidity on my biracial (varying from fine and straight, wavy and medium to coarse coils).I ran out after 2 years, so I was desperate to get it replaced quickly. Hooray for finding a reliable, economical source for one of my must-have hair products.

Least expensive on this site

This product is great for "mixed-breed" hair. I used to get it cheaper on another site.

Most perfect curls everytime!

by Tammee Lynn from Everett WA on 2010-05-25
Although this is product is a staightening Balm...I find it works wonders on my natural curly hair. My hair is smooth...no frizz...no fly aways. And when I do straighten my hair...it is amazingly straight and super shiny!

Alterna Hemp Straightening Balm

I have been using this product for my unruly curly hair and it is the best I have ever found and I am not a young chick. The best part of this purchase is this price was one of the fairest I have found plus I received the item quickly. I highly recommend the product and the company I purchased it from.

Great Product Works Well on African American Hair

by K. Jones from USA on 2010-08-21
I bought this product after reading various reviews on this site and others. After 5 years of unprocessed hair I decided I was sick of trying to make my extremely curly/frizzy type 3b or 4a hair work. In the past I used Mazani for years at the salon with great results. Although it was expensive and time consuming. I like this a lot better and I did it myself. My hair is extremly thick and very long (small of my back now that its straight) and I was able to do it at home with just a little help from my daughter. I much perfer doing it myself than sitting at the saloon for hours on end.The product left my hair in excellent condition all the way down to the ends. Its shiny and silky and I didn't even need to put any products in it. I did run a flat iron over it breifly after a wash but its much better than any other relaxer I have tryed and although its expensive I save money by not having to buy all kinds of conditioners and leave in that I used to use. Some say it does not work on AA hair, that is not true. The only down side in my opinion is the missing gloves and application brush ( I just used my gloved hand and the back of a comb) and the weak directions.

If I Could Add More Stars I Would!!

by FashionChic from PA, USA on 2010-08-01
I heard about this treatment the first time about 8 years ago. It sounded like exactly what I needed but when this first started becoming popular stylist were pretty strict on who they would do this for. I'm in Philly so we have several big salons and many of them told me flat out "no way - not with a full head of highlights" but I wasn't ready to give up on it yet. I finally found someone who would do it. He did a test on a section of my hair and when he saw there was no problem I booked an appointment. All I can say is WOW! My hair went from being course, extremely (unattractively) thick, lumpy (that's what I called it because it certainly wasn't "curly") to being silky straight, smooth, soft and healthier then ever. The Stylist said I probably would not need it done for another year. The year came and went and my hair was still exactly the same. I guess it was 3 or so years later when I went back for a touch up. I just simply loved this. I know it sounds strange but it totally changed my life. What I didn't like was the amount of time it took and the price - close to $600 both times. One day I was roaming around on line and found this for sale. I bought it and did it myself in like 2 hours. I got the exact same result and spent a whole lot less money. I would have been afraid to do it on my own the first time. The second time I had no idea there was any way I could get the product so I felt like I had no choice. The third time it was so much easier and obviously insanely cheap (compared to what I was paying) If your doing this for the first time go to a salon or at the very least have a friend who is familiar with it help you. If you have had it done before you know what you are doing probably better then the hair dresser does. If anyone out there is wondering if this products works - the answer is yes. It's like a miracle!! :)

Fantastic

by awt0130 from North Carolina, USA on 2010-07-09
This product works beautifully. However, I would NOT recommed doing a self application at home. I certainly didn't want to pay out the wazoo to get this done, so I paid for the product at cost and had a friend in the salon business do the application for me. If you don't know what you're doing or do not apply the product correctly you can really screw up your hair. The original application lasted about nine months and I recently had the touch-up application done. My hair is naturally AWFUL. Thick/wavy/frizzy/impossible to manage. It used to take me 45 minutes to an hour to get through the drying and straightening process. After the bio ionic retex I can blow dry and go. It's life changing! My hair feels soft and smooth.

Not as good as expected

by S. Miyares-Cabrera from on 2010-05-10
It did make my hair straight, but I still have to use the flat iron to make it look silky and natural. Not better than any other straightener. It didn't shorten the amount of time it takes to iron. So far the best permanent straightener I've had is the Chi, done at a salon. My hair stayed the same when it dried and I did not need to use the iron.

this thing is a miracle!

by Thamar Figueroa from on 2009-12-09
I was about 13 when i first tried this product, and it worked INSTANTLY!!!! my hair was soft, silky, and long. it was amazing.i went from crazy, unmanagable hair to silky smooth and soft. I would recomend this to ANYONE. it doesnt damage your hair like other relaxers, and it lasts 6 months. it takes a little while the first time, but the retouches are a breeze. as soon as you wash the first creme out, you cant miss the difference, your hair is instantlt healthy and will stay healthy. It only takes me about 20 minutes to syle my hair right after I get this done. This is the best thing that I have ever tried on my hair, and ive been using it for 2 years now.

Thanks for a great product. The best I have used to straighten my curly frizzy hair.

Awesome for straightening

by Chloe Grrl from Texas on 2005-12-13
As a curly-haired girl, I've been trying to find a good product for blow-drying straight all my life. I've tried pretty much everything at the drug store and even a lot of expensive salon stuff. But ever since I tried this stuff, I haven't bought anything else. It smells good and works really well - it's not going to be as good as a chemical relaxer or anything, but for a leave-in hair product it is really, really great.

soft and silky hair! in a bottle!

by NewtonsLawPreserved from on 2010-04-29
With my frizzy and umanageable hair, I have tried EVERY product on the market, and this is the one that can't be beat!! Most products either make your hair waxy or oily, or they put a sticky feel. This one is undetectable and does nothing except make your hair BEHAVE. I can't go about my business without it. Don't know why this isn't stocked in stores any more, but I'm buying a bunch online.

really good

by mieeeee from on 2010-03-09
i use this spray while straightening my hair it makes my hair soft, shiny & really smooth. it has great frizz control and is really light (unlike other products that weight your hair down) on my hair.

great stuff!!

by Annie Mae from Northern New Jersey on 2010-03-07
I have been using this for several years now, and I love it!! I spray it on my damp/wet hair right before I blowdry it, and it really seems to eliminate frizz and make it straighter. I can't seem to find it in any stores anymore, so I have to get it online. Great product!!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME PRODUCT!!!

by PAULI from on 2009-09-26
I HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WHEN I FOUND IT UNAVAILABLE IN STORES I PANICED. I HAVE EXTREMELY CURLY, FRIZZY HAIR, THIS PRODUCT CONTROLS THE FRIZZ AND FLIPPING. BUT WHAT'S REALLY GREAT ABOUT IT IS THAT IT'S LIKE USING WATER. NO STICKY FEEL OR HEAVINESS. I TOOK A CHANCE AND LOOKED FOR IT ONLINE. I ORDERED FOUR BOTTLES!!! TRUST ME YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Best product I have found for taming frizz

by L. Lusher from Ogden, UT USA on 2009-08-22
I once purchased this product at the drug store and found it worked better thank anything else I have tried to tame and straighten my curly hair (and I have tried a lot of things). I could no longer find it in the store, so I bought a bunch on line. Still works great!

Wonderful Sleek

by carriemc from on 2010-09-06
I bought this online because the stores stopped carrying it. Aside from the fact that you must pay a shipping fee, I am quite satisfied with this product. I have fine wavy hair that needs a little help when I use heat on it to keep it straight, and this works better for me than anything else I have tried - even in comparison to salon products.

Nexxus products are the best

I can't believe the difference

by Rebecca M. Hotchkiss from Phoenix on 2010-03-07
I usually don't write reviews but for this product, I most certainly will...my hair is usually really frizzy by the time I'm done blow drying it...but with this...it's almost as if I have already flat-ironed it! It works so well. And I do believe that it does create a "memory" because the times I have not been able to use it, my hair is still pretty frizz-free. I don't know what's in it that makes it work so well, but this is highly recommended if you have frizzy hair. Obviously, this also cuts down on the time I need to spend on fixing my hair...which is priceless! To me, this stuff is worth its weight in gold! The sprayer on the bottle is nice because it gives an even spritz to your hair, and the smell is a nice subtle scent, it's not too scented. My only complaint is that it's becoming hard to find, but that surely doesn't change the way it works.

Yes, it works amazingly well!

by Eris Lin from San Francisco, CA United States on 2010-01-22
I don't know about curly hair. I have straight Asian hair. But before using Sleek Memory, my hair was really poofy and frizzy, so I decided to start using a flat iron. I needed some kind of heat protectant to go with it because I dreaded badly damaging my virgin hair. After hours of meticulous research across quality, price, and results, Nexxus Sleek Memory seemed to be my best bet: heat protection that encourages straightness.I'm not a particular fan of Nexxus. In fact, once I bought my husband some Nexxus gel that didn't hold his hair at all, and I had to return it. But I'm so glad I decided to give Nexxus another chance because not only did this spray protect my hair from heat, it left my hair shiny, smooth, and with no residue. The fragrance is pleasant and doesn't linger around. The "memory" part is a very big added bonus because after using this spray every other day for two weeks, I did indeed start to notice my hair was already quite sleek after air drying. So much so that I decided to stop flat ironing after the third week or so, and my hair still stayed straight and lustrous! I would still flat iron once a week or so, but I was so happy I didn't have to spend as much time on my hair. And the real proof that this spray works is when I went to the salon after about a month and a half of using this spray, the stylist (who never saw me before) thought that I had gotten a Japanese straightening perm. And I had virgin hair!My husband apparently was impressed with how straight and shiny my hair was because he started to secretly use this spray himself. (He has a metro hairstyle.) He used to never use any products in his hair, but I could smell it after he came out of the bathroom. Anyway, when we ran out of the spray, my husband felt bad about using up my product, so he went to the drugstore to pick up some of his own...until he found out the price. He couldn't stand spending more than ten bucks for a hair product so he looked around for the cheapest heat protectant and bought the Daisy Fuentes brand heat protect spray, which was on sale. (I salute his security with his manhood. lol) When he spritzed the Daisy Fuentes spray the first day, he noticed it would shoot out in a thin stream and not in a fine mist, like the Nexxus had. He thought it was the bottle, so he put the Daisy Fuentes liquid in the Nexxus bottle, but it still shot out in a thin stream. After close inspection, we realized the Daisy Fuentes was thicker and goo-ey (the smell by the way was fine in the drugstore but sickening in the small space of our bathroom). We'll both be staying with the Nexxus. You get what you pay for!

This is truly an amazing product...

by Sheena26 from on 2009-10-03
I've been using this product since it came out. I have very thick, wavy, chemically processed hair. It has truly made a huge difference in the time it takes to dry my hair. It's cut drying time in half, and never leaves a tacky, sticky film on my hair. It makes it much easier to flat iron, and leaves your hair very soft and silky. Even my hairdresser was impressed after I had her use it on me in the salon. I've even been able to skip the use of my flatiron after blowdrying.

Tiny flat iron

by Kimberly Holman from on 2010-08-17
This is my second Nano Babyliss. My first did not last very long and I spent twice as much on it from my salon. I'm hoping I get at least a year out of this one. I have very short hair and need just a bit of bend. This works perfectly. It is identical to the one that burned out. It arrived quickly!

Awesome for short hair!

by Roselynn Vanderpool from on 2010-07-23
I didn't think these existed until finally a student at the salon school i frequent borrowed one from a classmate. I had to go home and buy it. I love short hair but have issues with regular flat irons burning my fingers and ears. This is a great tool to have in your own styling cabinet. Heats up really fast and great for traveling too!

Very Small - Easy To Pack

by AtlantaALB from Atlanta, Georgia on 2010-07-20
I have tried out Babyliss products in the past and love them. This travel iron is a little to small for regular use on my medium length hair - but its a Saint for bangs!

great product

It shipped really fast and is really compact, which is perfect for what I wanted.

Very small & snags hair!!

by E. Card from Honolulu, HI on 2010-04-07
I bought this iron because it received good reviews on Amazon from others... Unfortunately it was a complete waste of $20. I have medium length hair which is semi-thick and straight. I only bought the iron to make my hair super straight and shiny. It took me over 40 minutes to straighten my hair because the iron is so small. It also repeatedly snagged on my hair and caused hair to be ripped out of my head! I will definitely go back to my Hot Tools straightener.

Safe and great for the hair

by Tian from on 2010-09-09
This is by far the best straightener I have used. I have a hot tools one that is a little too big, and can make my hair get really dry, and also another straightener that makes my hair very frizzy. This straightener on the other hand, keeps your hair safe and non damaged when used dry. I have medium thickness hair, and love using this at around 15-18 heat level. I haven't tried it with wet hair, since I have seen how most of the negative reviews on this straightener is when it is used with damp hair. It is perfect for dry hair, because the size is easy to use and hold without getting it too close to the face. I don't think this straightener has a certain thing to help it stand, so it eventually tips over or lands on the side when I put it on the table, but it doesn't damage anything since the non metal plastic is covering up the side, not allowing the metal to touch surface.

Love it!!!!

by Cassie from on 2010-09-09
By far the best straightner i have ever purchased i have thick curly hair and wow after i use this my hair is silky smooth, the price is very low for this product it is amazing. i brought one in the mall that cost over 100 dollars and it does not even get warm. this is the best. love love love.

just OK...

by Christina Lewis from on 2010-09-01
I've had this straightener for around 6 months now, and was happy the first few times I used it. I've noticed though that it takes a long, LONG time to kind of straighten my thick, stubborn, frizzy hair. Within a few hours my hair was right back where it was before. I've tried numerous hair products to go along with the straightener, I've tried blow-drying and not blow-drying, wet and dry. The results and inevitably dissappointing, especially considering that my hair-stylist can straighten my hair beautifully with her chi and the results last well into the next day. I'm currently looking for a better quality flat iron. If you have easy hair, this straightener will work well for you. For stubborn to impossible hair like mine, I would look elsewhere.

My second Wet2Straight!

I couldn't live without this flat iron. I'm on my second one and the price is really good for a quality flat iron.

My first flat iron experience

by K. Holden from Chicago, IL USA on 2010-08-21
I've got strange mixed Asian/Caucasian hair that's really long, fine, soft, and wavy, but also golden blonde (of the porous and dull variety). I'm generally lazy so when necessary I usually blow dry my hair for the 45 minutes it takes to dry it completely, but it's never straight or shiny. My sister irons her shiny brunette hair that I always envied as a kid, so about six months ago I decided that I'd buy a flat iron and try it out, but never got around to the actual purchase. One day while at Target buying toothpaste I thought I saw someone I knew but didn't wish to encounter, so I ran off to hide in another aisle. Standing before a wall of flat irons, I recalled my decision to buy one and ended up with this Wet-to-Straight. I grabbed some heat protectant, and when the coast was clear, I got my toothpaste and left. The next day, after I showered, I sat around for about 20 minutes with a towel on my head, combed out the tangled mass, applied my heat protectant, and started quickly running pretty big chunks of hair through the iron, which I'd set at 25/wet. Looking back on it, I don't know how I didn't end up burning myself into oblivion. I just kept my head tilted so my ear faced the floor and pulled my hair downward, alternating quick strokes with the iron and my giant hairbrush. A few strands caught here and there, but I regularly slam my long hair in doors and roll it up in car windows, so this was no big deal to me. As with blow-drying, my hair got weird and wavy/frizzy when it was half-way dry, but as I kept going, rapidly brushing/ironing huge chunks of my hair, it turned out really straight, soft, and smooth, but not at all shiny (this is as good as it gets for me). I couldn't reach my roots, but since my hair is very long and there is a lot of it, it weighed itself down and dried just fine. I think it took about 25 minutes total, compared to the 45 minutes it takes to blow dry. Later that day I walked outside in the humidity, into a frigid air-conditioned mall, and then got caught in light rain while running to my car. My hair didn't frizz or curl or move at all in response to these various environmental conditions. It remained limp and lifeless, which is what I was going for.I don't really know how the temperature of my blow dryer compares to that of this flat iron, so I can only guess that I'm doing similar rather than worse damage to my hair by only using the flat iron rather than both the blow dryer and the iron. I think that if used regularly it would be a good idea to deep condition on a weekly basis.

AMAZING.

by S. Schaniel from Riverisde, CA on 2010-07-15
I could not believe it when i saw the price for this! I nearly jumped out of my seat. lol. Straightener arrived VERY fast (i was expecting it on July 15th and recieved it around the 5th!) I immediatley washed my hair just so i could try this baby out! i am so happy i bought this. I cannot put it into words. My hair is so smooth after using it. Also, with my old straightener i had to run it over my hair several times to get it straight. (Which is TERRIBLE to do, i know.) but one swipe with this one and my hair is straight. Its like a miracle straightner. I am so excited and happy, and wow what a deal! lol. I feel like ordering another one just because the original cost is so crazy. I havent tried using it to curl my hair, i have a curling iron for that so im not sure how well this straightner will do it, ill probably never try. I didnt by a straightner to curl my hair. lol . Anyways, product is great, all girls should have a great hair straightner like this!

Great hair tool

by Ronreb Feeley from NUTLEY, NJ, US on 2010-07-01
I really dont know how this iron(is it even called an iron?)does what it does! I tried it at the mall and it was too expensive for me...eventhough the girl was willing to give it to me for 75 dollars. Anyway, I paid 10 something for shipping and it came after the second day of the date. I am very pleased with it. I brought it to work and everyone liked it. It doesnt burn your hair or tear it out. It keeps your hair real nice and smooth. Without use of any other chemicals. I hope this helps. Thanks.

My client said at home she has a hard time getting her naturally curly hair straight, with this tool, it was fast and very easy, I was exoecting go over her hair 2 or 3 times, 97% of her hair took one time! I took a chance buying this, Felt like I wasn't out much, I highly recommend, I am ordering a second one, you can pay much more, and get a lesser product. It only makes sense to get the good buy!!!

This really makes your hair soft and shiny. It is not heavy and really controls my hair.

for hair ends only

by Curmudgea from Georgia on 2010-08-24
What first attracted me to this product was its nice scent when my stylist used it. In an attempt to get a salon finish to my impossibly cowlicked hair, I bought some and didn't like it until I learned how to use it. Now, after consulting with my stylist, before blow-drying I use Paul Mitchell styling lotion closer to the roots and Aquage straightening gel only on the tips of my hair (it seems fussy to do, but you get used to it), and that does the trick. I have found, too, that the results, oddly, are better, the day after I've used it and shampooed again. So, if I want my hair to look its best, I use the Aquage the day before, then shampoo and use only styling lotion on the following day. At around $20, it seems pricey, but I probably don't use more than two tubes a year. "A little dab'll do ya." It's just too bad it can only be purchased through high-end salons or online -- no discounts I can find.

Love this stuff!

by S. Katz from Bow, NH US on 2010-05-10
I really love this gel because it is exactly right for my type of hair - fine curly hair. I have really curly hair but it is like baby hair, very fine and not that thick. This gel gives it just the right amount of hold so my hair stays curly but not stiff. Once my hair is dry and I run my fingers though it, my hair stays curly, not frizzy, and looks great. I highly recommend this stuff if you have curly hair!! Don't worry about the fact that it is called straightening gel, it just seems to hold my curls loosely. Not too tight, not too loose.

Perfect product for fine hair

I have to add my two bits to the reviews for Aquage straightening ultragel. My hair is fine and tends toward being a little frizzy. My hairdresser convinced me to buy it, and I LOVE it. After the first bottle, I tried a couple of other products, then went back to Aquage because the others just don't compare. I think they are intended for thick frizzy hair, because they completely weigh my hair down and make it look dull. I just ran out of the second bottle last week, and again tried another product (because I'm cheap and didn't want to spend $20+ on hair gel). Again, disappointment. I'm buying more Aquage. It's pricey, but lasts a long time - I use a pea sized drop on wet hair, and it works great. If you have fine hair, don't use any more than that. Great product.

I tried out/had other straightening irons before, but after I used this one I got rid of the others. It's a really good product!

Do Not Buy at Jose Eber Kiosk

by S. C. Ways from on 2010-07-28
There is no need to pay the $300 (or whatever price you can negotiate for this) at the Jose Eber Kiosk in the malls. They use high pressure sales tactics telling you that Amazon and other companies who sell this are most likely selling refurbished or second hand products. If you do your homework you will find that companies such as Dead Sea who sells on Amazon are authorized distributors of the products. If you buy from the Jose Eber Kiosk you WILL get the EXACT same product for 7 times the price you should have paid. They do offer a lifetime warranty but keep in mind you would have to break your flat iron 7 times to make up the difference in price. Make sure to tell anyone you know looking for a flat iron NOT to buy this iron from the kiosk.Okay, so onto to review the actual iron. My hair is coarse and naturally curly but not in a neat way that makes it easy to wear curly hair, so I like to straighten it. Typically I use the Chi, which works the best on my hair and I also like the Babyliss line. Both of these flat irons are a bit pricey but work and not all flat irons work. Here are the highlights of the Jose Eber iron:It leaves my hair very shiny sleek and smooth lookingIt doesn't break off my hair like the Chi tends to doThe comb that comes with it is amazing...and maybe why I like the iron (haven't tried the comb with the Chi)The wet to dry works but it makes my hair poker straight with no body at all so I never use. I blow dry to add volume but have used it on damp hair. Also with the wet to dry feature, it takes a lot longer than blow drying as the wetter your hair the more times you have to pull the iron through it to get it dry. My hair is thick and this was a long process and I didn't like the results. The curling part is difficult to get the hang of but works if you can figure it out (I can't consistently do it). Again, the comb is the key here as the comb grips the hair tightly and the flat iron doesn't have a tight grip on the hair. This is something that is easier to do on someone else than to do on yourself. All and all I am very happy with the flat iron and super happy with the comb. The comb is not high quality material so I am concerned about how long it will hold up and I think it is a staple to liking this flat iron. I was one of the unfortunate people who got pressured into buying this at a mall Kiosk and have told all my friends to buy it from Amazon. Those who have all had great experiences and received the exact same BRAND NEW flat iron that I paid 7 times as much for.

not the best, not the worst

I used to have a Jose Eber straightener that I absolutely loved, so when i saw this one worth over double the value on sale for $40, I decided I couldn't go wrong. This is not a bad straightener, but it does not squeeze the hair as tightly as the other I had (which is important for people with finer hair like myself). If I had to do it over, I would look for the model I had owned before. However, I plan on using this one until it kicks the dust.

You get what you pay for.

After a friend of mine straightened my hair with her professional-grade straightener and I experienced just how sleek and smooth my hair could become, I decided I needed to invest in one myself. The only problem was hers cost a whopping 200$...and... as a college student I just don't have that kind of money lying around. I was amazed to find this on amazon for a mere 37$ since the original price tag was almost ten times that. I did some research on jose eber products and most people absolutely LOVED his curling iron, so I thought I would be getting the same sort of quality with his straightener. Unfortunately you get what you pay for and it was definitely not what I had envisioned. ..The seller got it to me amazingly quick, though. I ordered it Wednesday morning and it arrived on my doorstep Friday afternoon! Talk about speedy deliveries! This was with the FREE supersaver shipping that normally takes ages. So obviously I was pretty excited. Unfortunately, as soon as I opened the packaging I could tell my straightener was not "brand new" as advertised. The packaging surrounding the straightener was torn where one would normally remove it--as if someone had already opened and tried it out. The straightener itself was dusty and the ceramic plates have scratches and two small purple-looking dots. However, I didn't really care whether my straightener was used or not as long as it worked on my hair! I have frizzy curls and loved the look that my friend gave me with her straightener. I had long ago stopped using my conair one because my hair would never get very sleek... Straight, yes. But I ended up looking more like a shaggy dog... Also I thought the wet-to-dry would make it easier for me to get ready in the morning. So, on to actual usage:This straightener has four heat settings: 220, 200, 180, & 160 With dry hair........ --Straightens fairly easily with a few swipes just like my conair. I divide my hair and straighten the bottom sections first. I did notice that my hair was softer than usual after finishing which was a nice added bonus. Plus there wasn't any weird smell that I sometimes got with the conair. BUT! I again got that shaggy-dog look and nowhere near the sleek hair that I wanted. This was with the straightener on 220.With DAMP hair........(I waited a particularly long time after showering to straighten my hair just to make sure it was DAMP not wet. I even blew-dry a few sections of the back just to be sure.) --I started on the 160 setting just because I was afraid of heat on wet hair. From the first swipe I could hear sizzling. My hair was straight and dry afterwards, of course, but at what cost..... I was too afraid to keep going with the crazy crackle-pops and steam it was making so I decided to stop there and blow-dry it all.So finally.......If you are looking for a cheap straightener marginally better than your average conair piece--go with this one. It's 37$ for goodness sakes! If you are looking for a professional grade product I suppose you really do have to bite the bullet and save up a ghastly amount of money for one.I gave a star for quick shipping and a star for making my hair soft. Unfortunately this is not what I wanted at all and I kind of think it was used anyways.......

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!

I highly recommend this Iron!! It does not burn your hair. I have used it WITHOUT a heat protecting spray. It worked fine for me.
