Depending on how light you want your hair to be, you should leave the lightening mixture on a minimum of 20 minutes, up to a maximum of 90 minutes.After 20 minutes, wipe the strand clean. If the strand is not light enough, return it to the lightening mixture and check every 5 minutes. Remember your hair looks darker when wet.Rinse the strand thoroughly and towel dry gently. If the strand shows any breakage or gumminess, do not proceed with the overall application. Your hair is not in good condition and may need a trim or deep conditioning.
