What system can I use for permanent hair straightening?

I have heard of the Yuko system (for dead straight hair), but I want to know if there is some hair straightening/retexturing system that will make my hair starighter, but still retain some curl/wave and not damage the hair a lot...

At the moment my hair is quite curly and frizzy, but also not crazy afro curls.... HELP? thanks!
Preferably I want wavy hair/ loose curls, NOT dead straight hair. thanks!

I have a friend that had the Brazilian Treatment done it is called "Escova Progressiva" it left her hair pin straight. It looks really natural and if I didn't know her before I would believe it was her natural hair however it is expensive. She didn't complain about any damage on her hair and she told me she knows a brazilian girl that does it for about 3 years now and her hair is not damaged at all. Look up Brazilian Keratin Treatment by Marcia Teixeira. That's the one my friend highly recommends. Good Luck!
